Detailed Reviews
This campsite is in a wonderful location just outside of Gordes, we took our bikes and it was approximately a 5 min cycle ride to the centre itself. The campsite had incredible views across the valley and we were lucky enough to get a pitch with a stunning, uninterrupted view too. The facilities were excellent and one of the best we have experienced, very modern and clean. We would highly recommend this campsite for couple or families.

We spent 6 nights here in our camper, we would of spent longer but it closed for the season. Fantastic facilities, we have traveled and stayed in lots of sites this trip and this is definitely one of the best with the best showers! The pool is wonderful, the views are spectacular. Everything is clean and tidy and very well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful, easy walking distance to the beautiful village of Gordes. We will most certainly be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Stayed here for eight nights with our tent. Pitches are a good size but due to being perched on top of a hill above Gordes the ground is literally rock hard. You need some good pegs and a decent mattress but you are rewarded with outstanding views and a nice cooling breeze (or on occasion, ferocious wind)
The facilities are clean and well maintained (showers closed for cleaning 10.30 to 12.30 which is a bit inconvenient if you like to laze around eating croissants in the morning)
Bread and croissants can be ordered daily. Pizzas are available in the evening if you can't be bothered to cook but better food to be had down the hill in Gordes.
The pool looks lovely, there is a sports and recreation area. Bar is open til ten in high season and you can get wifi in the bar/pool/reception area. It was lovely and quiet in the evenings.
Final note. It was very windy. You need to anchor your pegs if there is a storm brewing.
Go there though. I for one loved this place.

We visited this site in September. The location is fine, very near the lovely village of Gordes and handy for many other places of interest in the Provence and Luberon areas. The site has good facilities. However, because of the arrogant and generally unfriendly attitude of the staff, particularly the reception staff, we would not choose to stay here again and cannot recommend it to others. We agree 100% with the other negative reviews that have raised complaints regarding this aspect of this campsite. In this day and age, indifference and unfriendliness to paying clients is out of order.

We travelled to the site at the beginning of August and booked in for a week.
The area is lovely and there is plenty to see.
The site is very rocky and very hilly. This isn't a problem for us, but for others it may be. The pool area is very nice and the bar area too. There was no food served at any point during our stay which I thought was a little odd considering the website states that the restaurant is open every night in high season. The 'gypsy' music evening was also cancelled the week we were there which was also disappointing.
Overall the site is quiet and the wash blocks are clean and tidy.
Sadly our stay was spoilt by the plot we were given. it was right in the middle of the site with no shelter whatsoever. We asked THREE times to see some other plots with a view to moving but were told each time that it wouldn't be possible as they were fully booked and people would be arriving to occupy said plots. At no point during the week did anybody arrive to occupy the couple of plots we fancied, we we're pretty annoyed but had gotten on with it.
Another camper suggested to us in passing that we should watch out on our plot as it gets very windy, make sure everything is well secured she said. She was correct ! The following morning saw some windy weather and with no shelter the plot was going to take a battering. We did our best to secure everything but on our return from the supermarket the whole place had been decimated. Shelter blown away table upturned crockery smashed to pieces, broken glass everywhere, broken poles, you name it.
Did anyone from the site come to see if we were ok? No.
No wonder they were so keen to fill that plot for a week.
The thing that really annoyed us, is the fact that we could see other people arriving and being given a map to stroll about and choose a plot. We were told that some of the plots were only for camper vans and not for tents. Nonsense, people with vans were pitching tents in all the lovely sheltered plots, so it was clearly an excuse.
This is our 5th year travelling around France now with our children 5 & 7, so we're not totally inexperienced, this is the first time we have encountered such bad service with little or no care for the welfare of paying guests.
On this basis I really wouldn't recommend anybody visit Camping des Sources. There are plenty of sites in the region where I'm sure you'll receive a warm welcome as a pose to a cold and windy one.

The campsite ist really beautiful, located almost 2 km from the french village. We travelled seven Friends with an auto Caravan and just wanted to stay for one night. The recepcionist, who served us was disrespecfull, though. She talked to us in french even though we asked her politely to talk in english twice. Besides,we had to pay for two plots because one plot was only for six and we we were seven. I personally had the feelling we were not wellcome, maybe because it is a place for families. Anyway, We had a great night and La Provenze is a lovely place.

We stayed here for two nights as a group of five, with three tents as we followed the TDF. The view out to the valley was beautiful.
The ground that we laid our tents over was however harder than cement. So unless you bring some type of mattress you will leave with bruises. Make sure you also bring your speedos (not your $100 boardshorts etc) for swimming otherwise you will NOT be allowed to swim and will be rudely asked to leave the pool - some weird French hygiene rule. If you intend staying here next July (2014) and intend to eat on the premises - ORDER YOUR PIZZA NOW!
The wifi connection is very good and makes for a great communal meeting point!

Stayed here with my son. Using a small tent. The owners do not really find the best place for the right kind of tent/caravan. I liked the camp site, good location and excellent facilities. We had some issue about swim shorts with the owner, in a nit friendly way. He could improve himself a bit on explaining things on people I would say.

Beautiful setting near provencal village of Gordes, on a hill so beautiful view from the reception / swimming pool area. Most of the spots shaded with olive trees. Did not have the impression of a desert as it sometimes happens on the South due to very hot and dry climate. The washing/toilet areas were clean and sufficient in quantity. Nice jazz concert on Thursdays. Serious anti fire measures , camping has a speakers to inform the people of emergency, it was tested once we were there.
Negatives:
What I did not like too much was a slight impression of stiffness and not welcoming and "no" signs : no picnic , no shorts at the swimming pool, swimming pool opens only from 10.00 so no early morning swim, toilet next to the bar/swimming pool closed as opens from 10 as well, no toilet seats on toilets.

Just returned from a two week stay here. Really enjoyed the site. Be careful with pitch selection. Some are quite small. The site is a pleasant walk from Gordes, but a hot walk back in the middle of the day.toilets and showers are mixed with a separate urinal . These were always beautifully clean... take your own loo roll! The pool is large enough with a stunning view from the plage. Bread can be ordered from the reception where good english is spoken although they happily put up with my french. Lots to do and to visit from local walks to days out to Pont du Garde and
Avignon. We spent three days each way towing our caravan there... well worth it........for tents and awnings you will need rock pegs.
