Feel a bit bad about 4 - 4 1/2 if i’d been allowed. In many ways a perfect site - really great pool with amazing views south towards Luberon. Toilets etc top notch. Bar area a bit rudimentary but lady in reception excellent with super English. Downside, as ever with big sites in France, is that you are a bit cramped - view of someone else’s motor home is not necessarily the ideal and a bit more grass and privacy would be good. Also Gordes is an anthill crawling with tourists and not really our ver de vin or whatever the French idiom is. We are not pool people but this one probably makes up for the site’s other minor deficiencies. Having said that I do wish people would smile a bit more- not the most happy clientele we have encountered. Would like more Dutch people and less …..
We stayed here for two nights in May in a motorhome to visit the beautiful close by town of Gordes. We were greeted by a very friendly staff and we selected a pitch from three or four given to us. The toilet facilities here are the best we have ever experienced on any campsite in five years of extensive travel throughout France. They are more akin to something you would find in a modern hotel. Using an ACSI card this site is excellent value. The bar and terrace area is very nice indeed with beautiful views over the valley. The walk to Gordes takes around 40 minutes but could be challenging for someone who is slightly infirm as the terrain is very mixed with loose rocks in parts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back when we are in the area again
A delightful campsite with the most hospitable friendly owner who could not do enough to help us. She speaks excellent English and is very helpful and friendly. In an area of natural beauty and a 15 minute walk into St Jean de Gard a pleasant little town that sits on the river. There is a steam train that runs down the valley. Lots of nice walks a lovely market on a Tuesday. On site the pitches offer shade lots of trees a communal washroom which is pleasant and clean. The pool is excellent the site offers a restaurant with reasonable prices although we did not eat here. A book library and all for 16 euros plus taxes per day on ACSI. Definitely a must if you are in this area.
Exelent views.pitches are quite private. However some can be tight. The shower and toilets are all perfectly clean and modern. We stayed for over two weeks there is plenty of places to visit, last but not least the swimming pool.it is immaculate clean with perfect views when swimming.could do with a few more umbrellas.
This campsite has a lot of potential - great location (25 min walk to Gordes), nice staff, nice looking pool (but closed in april). Unfortunately there is currently one small unisex toilet block with one sit down toilet (no toilet seat or toilet paper), two squat toilets and two showers without temperature controls. So you almost always had to wait to use the one toilet as the whole campsite is using it. It seems that they are renovating another toilet block but in April it was unusable. We paid almost 30 euro per night for 2 adults, tent and car. It would have been appreciated if we were told that the other toilet block was undercontruction as we found out only after we had placed our tent close to that block. Perhaps they shouldn't be charging full price while the facilities are so poor.…
Stayed here with my son. Using a small tent. The owners do not really find the best place for the right kind of tent/caravan. I liked the camp site, good location and excellent facilities. We had some issue about swim shorts with the owner, in a nit friendly way. He could improve himself a bit on explaining things on people I would say.
Friendly service, great location and excellent music events. All this in a most beautiful part of France - Provence is a magnificent place for holidays. Don't miss the market at Gordes, the walk to the abbey of Senanque or the challenging hike through the Gorges de Veroncle.
The big plus was the location and views but it was expensive. There was little food available, coffee was expensive and out of a machine and the price of beer was eye watering. If you wanted bread you had to order it the night before. Pool area, fantastic with great views but closed at 7. Should have been later. The big down side were the toilets. No toilet seats, no paper and no soap. They also smelt bad all the time. Reception staff were lovely, friendly, kind and helpful. There is also a nice 25 minute walk down to Gordes. The local town. Quaint but very touristy. Nice big pitch but rock hard ground. Bring industrial size tent pegs and a big mallet!
Camping lies in a beautiful place. Service is very nice and professional. The place is quiet, full of charm. The swimming pool and evening entertainment, such as wine tasting or jazz, will make your stay even more memorable.
Prety place, with nice swimmingpool and views. Only in my opinion the bathrooms are old and request a reformation, separating for sex. The location is not far from the town and there is a way to go walking
