Incredible view from our room and great valet system. Hotel decor generally much too over-decorated and busy. Felt more like a chi-chi 3 star provincial French hotel in terms of the fussy staid style. Friendly staff at reception and bar. Booked the restaurant for dinner described as 'Provençal' as it had a nice terrace and we were in the heart of the Luberon. When we asked to sit on the terrace the officious manager said "the terrace is closed." We said we were sitting outside on the bar terrace immediately next door and it was fine and she said "the terrace is closed." The restaurant was a major disappointment except for the sommelier who saved the day with his choice and humour after this cold start. The interior had a squashed feeling. The food was all Italian and unexceptional. Nothing notably Provençal and the flavours were quite ordinary. We wished we had gone to any local place to eat rather than this. Overall, considering the cost of the room was over Euro 600 we left having much happier experiences in every other place we stayed. You are paying for the view! …
Just returned from a trip to southern France with my adult daughter. We stayed in 4 different properties spanning from Avignon to St. Jean Cap Ferratt, and this was by far our favorite . Absolutely divine. As a discriminating traveler, what stood out to me was the management and the attention to detail with regards to EVERYTHING. The staff is exceptional , and the property is meticulously maintained. We met the manager at check in, and he checked in with us throughout our stay. One tip… our room was on the second floor over looking the pool. The grounds crew begins early, and we did awake to the sound of blowers. If you want absolute quiet you may want to avoid that side of the property .
Okay, this is a tough one, where do I begin...The historic building, the overwhelmingly beautiful views are a sight to behold. The interiors of the entire hotel have been done with such good taste where there is a perfect balance of being in the midst of luxury but at the same time a feeling of cosiness, never overbearing. Our room was incredibly beautiful with attention to detail and everything one could want and wish for in a luxury hotel room.Incredibly lavish breakfast, fabulous bar with the best staff there who took such good care of us.A large outdoor heated pool heated to a very comfortable temperature. We also loved the spa indoor pool and the entire spa area.A big thank you to Melissa at the spa,she is amazing! We just can't wait to return to this one of a kind hotel, there is truly nothing else like it!!…
Everything about his hotel is excellent. The location, the building, the view, the staff, breakfast, etc. The spa is excellent, and while massages are pricey, they're very good. Service is what makes the difference. Staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and anticipate the guests' needs very well. For example, on our last morning our car was waiting for us right outside the front door - no need to ask for it and then wait.
It is not often that one’s expectations are surpassed on every level. A fantastic location, an amazingly appointed hotel, restaurant, patio, pool and of course fantastic bedrooms were just the start. Super friendly and helpful staff from the concierge Jose’ to the restaurant staff and everyone else. This hotel made for a truly memorable stay in Gordes with great cuisine, lots of help planning our days and after 30 years of travel, we can honestly recommend this as one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had!!!
My wife and me were extremely happy with this very beautiful Airelles Gordes Hotel. All the staff is doing a great job and are very kind and helpful. The Guest Experience Manager looked after us in an excellent way for wishes and organisations. For our start we received nice presents. The hotel is very well organised, top standard We highly appreciated also our fantastic and spacious room with beautiful furniture, many paintings and the bathroom. The hotel is also famous for outstanding views of the valley, Luberon and the village. In addition wonderful is the top buffet breakfast is the best for us worldwide because of the high quality and the huge choice. We can highly recommend Airelles Gordes and we are really looking forward to staying there very soon.
This truly might be one of my all time favourite hotels. The history and architecture are amazing. Each of the three room we had was unique and beautiful. The breakfast was fabulous. And everyone was so welcoming and helpful. It was expensive but worth every penny!
We had a wonderful day at the bastide! Excellent staff, neat and nicely decorated room, everything was perfect. We enjoyed the view, the quietness, the breakfast on the terrace. The staff was very pleasant.
The hotel and staff were five star all around. The Manager was present at check-in and was available if needed. She never was needed because the staff from the Concierge, front desk , valet, bar, Restuarant, laundry, etc. we’re all exceptional.
Easily the best hotel we have ever stayed at. I can't fault anything, the staff are naturally friendly and welcoming and it never seems false, the amenities are top draw (definitely try the E bikes). The housekeeping is spectacular, so discrret yet thoughtful (for example they put glasses cleaners next to my sunglasses) and the ice cream by the pool has ruined other ice creams for me it's that good. I could go on all day, but best to try it yourself to believe.
