We spent 5 days here with family and friends. We travel a good amount and always stay in 5 star hotels, this is up there in the top favorite. The service, location, good were top notch. Every aspect of the design in the hotel is beautiful, and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend!
This is an expensive luxury hotel, but so superbly run with incredible staff, facilities and service that it justifies every penny. Above all the staff are perfect in their attention, courtesy and efficiency. The hotel and its location are beyond praise for beauty, tranquility and comfort. The pool is quite idyllic. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you feel welcome and cared for. What a treat!
We visited BDG while on a family trip to attend a wedding in Provence. From the very moment upon booking the hotel was certain to make us feel well cared for. It certainly is not easy traveling with a small child. However the hotel went above and beyond to provide everything that was needed (and more!) for us. The small details really made all of the difference for us: a lovely crib and toys already in our room when we checked in, beautiful amenities included in the stay, etc. Even more— the entire facility was stunning. Amazing food, restaurants, bars, pool, spa, incredible staff. etc. Highly recommend for any type of stay! (Family, couples, etc.) We will certainly return to this beautiful property. Have traveled to many 5 star resorts worldwide and this is within the top 3. Cannot recommend the staff and hotel enough. Merci.…
Incredible hotel with beautiful views and very kind staff. We stayed here while touring Provence and would highly recommend. Loved that it was nestled into the town to allow for sightseeing but had quiet patios with vesicular view. Hotel was fully booked but spent half the day as the only people sitting at the pool. Lovely!
The room we booked was supposed to be a deluxe village view room. It was more a wall view room. After requesting an alternative the manager had nothing at all to offer. So we asked to cancel the room so we could go somewhere else. We were willing to pay a compensation for it but we’re looking for some forthcoming of the manager. There was no forthcoming at all. Instead, the manager lied to us and said there was nothing he could do because it was with Expedia. So I called Expedia and they told us it was actually possible but up to the hotel. Confronting the manager with his lie he did not respond at all… please try to avoid this hotel. We have been in nice hotels but the service, in particular the manager is an embarrassment and should not work in such a hotel. A manager should be customer centric and try to find solution - not be lying to its customers…
What can we say other than our stay has been absolutely gorgeous, not just the accommodation but the most important thing has been the kindness and above and beyond helpfulness of every staff member, a massive thank you to romarix for providing us with such a special table for our anniversary and everything else you have done for us, Vincent for being the most special food and drink specialist and hopefully a friend now who is an absolutely asset to this hotel of which it wouldn’t be the same without him, to Jose on concierge and is a powerhouse of knowledge and information and getting the best restaurants booked, Steven in the breakfast room for your excellent service throughout our stay, all the wonderful women and men on the desk every day and evening, I can’t thank you enough for making our stay the most memorable and perfect stay ever, we are already looking at next year’s plans to come back, not forgetting the wonderful bar staff every evening Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts This hotel would be nothing without each and every one of you Adele & Robert Morrison x…
Everything was truly perfect. Besides the beautiful property, the charm of this property is the staff who are incredibly warm, attentive and kind. A big shoutout to the staff who kept our car (and cleaned it each day!), Jose the formidable concierge and friend, and other staff like Clement (and the other front desk staff!), and the servers Isam and Stephanie at L'orangerie. Our experience here could not have been more perfect!
ROOM: We got a 1 Bedroom Suite, which was superb. Very roomy (included bedroom, salon, spacious bathroom with bathtub and shower, separate toilet room). Tastefully decorated with antiques. Unique mix of old and new to elevate amenities/service (TV integrated into the mirror, iPad/iPhone application for service needs, etc). The view from the windows was divine. Quiet overall (only faintly heard a post-wedding party one night after 10PM, which is understandable). SERVICE: Above and beyond. I don't have a single complaint. It's by far the most I've paid for a hotel per night, but it's also by far the best service I've ever gotten. Some sweet touches included: e-mail prior to arrival asking about reservations we wanted help making, welcome wine/note/gift (tote, hat, perfume, tomato/bruschetta spread), tour of the grounds/room upon check-in, cold water bottles in the car every time we took it out, itineraries with turn-down service containing recommendations for the following day (markets, villages to explore, etc.), free Yoga class on Saturdays, macarons and a Polaroid of me and my fiancé upon check-out. These little things that make all the difference are usually the first to get cut with COVID-19 cost-cutting measures, and I'm glad Airelles has chosen to keep them. The concierge was helpful with recommendations and reservations. The entire staff was so, SO friendly. I was nervous about it feeling stuffy/formal since I'm a little younger, but I didn't feel like this at all. Can't speak highly enough of the service. GROUNDS/LOCATION: Gosh, it's gorgeous. It's a huge castle/villa built into the mountain, and it's impressive to see how it's integrated into the surrounding environment. Overlooks the valley, incredibly lush and green, the grounds are maintained beautifully. The pool area is straight out of a dream. The spa is a relaxing oasis (Clara is a fantastic masseuse). AMENITIES: Cost includes parking, access to concierge services, lush robes/slippers, free breakfast (which is delicious, expansive, and incudes lots of vegetarian options), access to the Spa/Pool, yoga on Saturdays. RESTAURANTS: I do wish these were a little cheaper and more vegetarian-friendly (mostly red meat and seafood), given that surrounding restaurants cost substantially less and do offer a few more options. However, the food is good and the views are unmatched. OVERALL: Would stay here again a thousand times over if I could afford to. A little slice of heaven.…
Just finishing 3 wonderful days here. The service is excellent, super helpful on the surrounding area and things to do. The location is spectacular, truly worth the expense. Eat at Clover on the terrace—- very interesting twists on Provençal flavors. Took an afternoon nap by the wonderful pool. We loved it and will be back!
Exceptional experience! Service is of very high quality. Smiling faces, caring and professional. Nothing is too much and all is done quickly and perfectly. Upkeep of the hotel and its grounds and also the decoration is faultless. The rooms are an expert mix of well chosen decoration and modern conveniences (ipads in every room!). The housekeeping team perform miracles and the front desk staff very attentive. Buffet breakfast is just perfect. The different restaurants offer a different vibe and each an excellent experience, which makes it so easy when trying to figure out where to go for dinner. The little 2CV car or bicycles to explore the nearby region are so much fun. Obvious choice when visiting this gorgeous part of France! Cannot wait to go back.
