We were back and forth between this and another 5 star property in Vence and selected this venue. While it’s nice, and we had a good time, We we’re not overly impressed, but did enjoy the stay. The staff was very kind, especially Vivien who went out of her way to ensure she checked in each time we passed her, and the grounds were pretty. I’d say depending on your rate $ is how you might whether it was right or not. At 500 euros a night it’s a great option, for 800+ euros a night I think there are better 5 star resorts not far from here. Sorry one last note, the spa facility is terrific and free access even if not getting a treatment.
We stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful hotel and loved every minute of it. The setting, in eight hectares of beautifully kept gardens, is superb, while the food and service are excellent. It’s only a few kilometres to the exquisite mediaevel town of St Paul de Vence. The hotel provides a free shuttle service up to the village and it’s an easy half hour walk back. Highly recommended.
The Mas de Pierre is one of our favourite hotels in the world, having visited befor , prior to the renavations we were not expecting what we discovered when we just spent a week here. This hotel is now truly a world class place to stay, the new accomodation is fantastic, the spa is huge and amazing and as ususal the food is perfect. We will be booking or stay for next year very soon
We have just got back from a 4 day holiday at this beautiful hotel. The scenery and the gardens the hotel is surrounded with is beautiful. On arrival we were greeted by a staff member who took our luggage from us and got us checked in ( speedy check in ) We weren’t greeted with any champagne ( surprising for a 5* hotel) we were shown our rooms which were spotless and were also a great size and had a garden with sun beds and chairs. The room was equipped with a TV, Bluetooth speaker, plenty of wardrobe space and a mini fridge. The bed was very comfy and the AC worked which was a bonus ( being 31 degrees) The food at the hotel was very expensive and the menu wasn’t food we fancied. We would have to get a taxi ( Uber ) to the nearest restaurants which were mainly Italian even though the hotel is in France. The food and drink is very expensive. Burger and chips was €38. I ordered some frites as a pool side snack - these were €11! They weren’t good at all - soggy chips swimming in grease / oil. Apart from the food I would have given the hotel a 5*. The breakfast was great though! Great choice of a cooked breakfast or cold fruits / pastries. The swimming pool and spa was 100% the best part of this hotel. I would love to come back.…
This place is an absolute gem. The location..Perfect The staff..........Perfect The food.........Perfect The wine..........Perfect We were all made to feel so special, I would return here in a heartbeat for the welcome, serenity and overall service
A nice hotel for a quite weekend or vacation .the rooms are nice comfortable.typical Provence decor. The hotel is category’s 5 stars but the room are more 4 stars Breakfast is good and rich .food at the bar excellent their Caesar salad.service is good.
Totally overhauled, renovated and extended less than 1 year ago. Stayed in a junior suite for a few days with private south facing terrace. Stunning place. Definitely top 3 Relais & Chateau visits for us. Quiet, serene, beautiful herbal gardens to walk around. Excellent breakfast selection. Both main restaurants serving lovely food. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The new mercedes electric transporter van was a lovely way to be taxi’d around (though chauffeurs could be a little smoother in driving style, but were still very considerate). Expensive but worth it. Thoroughly recommended, can’t wait to go back.
We stayed 4 nights. Probably experienced phenomenal customer service from at least 12 Staff. From the 2 GREAT Concierges, to the breakfast Staff, to Anthony the shuttle driver we were blessed w/intelligent/hard-working Staff. The property has recently been renovated. It's beautiful in every sense of the world. I feel wealthy here in every sense of the world... We had a housekeeping issue our 1st night. Growing pains are apparent but are largely overcome through sheer beauty + a great Staff. *Highly recommended...
Excellent staff, beautiful grounds, good food, great service & nice rooms so what’s not to like! Views to die for and not too far from Nice airport but away from the hustle and bustle of Nice. Beautiful local town with free shuttle makes it an ideal holiday destination if you’re happy to have children around.
Booked this hotel over the phone using my relais et châteaux gift box. The reservation agent was very efficient but sounded like a robot. She should smile while talking on the phone as this changes the tone of the human voice and can be heard by the caller. 😉 After that she sent me the confirmation by email together with a questionnaire for my stay. This is not the first time i've been in a relais & chateaux hotel, and I can say that this hotel holds up to its standard. I have stayed in Hotel Daniel, Relais Christine and La cote saint jacques just to name a few during my stint as a luxury travel agent. They were relatively smaller hotels compared to this resort type property. If you have mobility issues, i don't think this will be the best place for you as there are stairs and a lot of walking. Although I would pressume that they have handicap friendly rooms. I stayed in this hotel for my one year anniversary with my partner and we drove there. The hotel is gated and secure, you will need to ring the reception to enter the property. A valet will park your car and take care of your luggage thereafter. There should be directions at the gate though as it can be confusing for guests who have never been to this place since there is parking on the immediate left after the gate. Check in was quick and the receptionnists were nice but seemed new as they had to ask for their manager twice. First for the pass and second, if they can accept the gift card without the box. The hotel's general manager also greeted us which is expected from a luxury establishment. The nice receptionnist then guided us to our room 512 which was near the main pool that was unheated. She showed us the facilities on the way. I always appreciate a thorough tour especially if it is my first time in the property. The room was spacious and had a balcony with an awesome view of the hotel's vegetable garden and the surrounding mountains and villages. Awaiting for us in the room were some welcome amenities and a hand written note. Very nice touch although they assumed automatically that we were a monsieur and a madame. 😬 The room was clean although the bathroom floors and walls looked a bit tired for a recently renovated property. Maybe I was in a building that wasn't part of the renovation. Lol We never got to experience the main pool nor the lagoon as if was winter and they are not heated so we enjoyed the pool in the spa instead. The spa facilities were the bast part of our stay. We didn't dine in their bistronomique restaurant as the menu choices didn't really appeal to me so went to Nice for dinner instead. We were not really told where the valet stayed, and there were signs which pointed us to 'Car Departures' which we foolishly followed. 🤦 It led us to the large parking where the security told us he is not the valet and didn't know how we can get the car. So we walked back to the reception instead. For a big guy like me, this was a tiring walk after a long day on the road. Breakfast buffet was great, staff weren't exceptional although one lady staff stood out. Rosetta, was very nice and sincere. Friendly and talked to the guests. You can tell she loves her job. Kudos to her for making a simple breakfast more pleasant. 👍 Checkout was quick and hassle free. Great stay overall. Will definitely recommend this hotel and would love to go back during summer. …
