We booked in a 3 night stay at Saint Paul de Vence Hotel and weren't totally sure what to expect. Safe to say we were wonderfully surprised from the moment we entered the hotel to the moment when checked out three days later. First things first, the journey to Saint- Paul itself is an experience in its own right. A... More

A superb hotel situate in one of Provences most beautiful mediaeval hill villages. Very pretty bedrooms with amazing views, the restaurant serves truly delicious food, we dined elsewhere in the village our second night and wondered why on earth we had bothered! Having glanced at some recent reviews it appears that some guests might have been suited at a large... More

The hotel is set in a charming and unique place. Has all the potential but maintenance is not in a good standard unfortunately. People with walking issues should take into account the need to climb stairs everywhere.

Arriving at the hotel it looked really pretty from the outside. We arrived early and couldn't check in which was fine so we arrived back at 3.30pm when we could check in as check in is 3pm. We were given our room keys and went to the 4th floor where our room still hadn't been made up or cleaned. We... More

You cannot have a better location. The mornings and evenings are yours to wander through the cobblestone streets. The hotel is beautiful with views over the valley. It has modern amenities in an ancient building. The staff is wonderful. I only have good things to say - the cookies when we arrived and the rose petals on our bed each... More

Staying in the heart of the art village & looking at the pictures, this should have been the top location of our trip. But it wasn't. Apart from its superb location, this too expensive hotel lacks everything a modern hotel should have. There is no bar, no terrace except for the restaurant with limited hours & days (it was closed for... More

Booked into Le Saint Paul as a surprise for my wife. Arrived 2 hours after room should have been ready and had to wait a further 30 mins before being shown to our room. For those of you who don't want to spend your valuable time reading chapter and verse the summary is as follows. < Horrendous smell in our... More

Looking back on my recent vacation in Provence, one of my biggest regrets is not spending more nights at this hotel. It is a gorgeous property in St. Paul de Vence, a historic perched village that is now contains almost nothing but art galleries. The room itself was spacious and delightfully furnished with a view of the surrounding countryside. The... More

This is our third stay at this charming, magical inn. It always enchants. Getting to the hotel is always an adventure, narrow winding streets and steep stone stairs to climb with luggage, but the reward is worth it. The hotel is part of the Relais & Chateaux group, which is a mark of excellence. The location is the center point... More
