Small hotel with the entrance hidden among rows of shops, looked a little odd walking in as felt like it was a block of flats. But what a wonderful hotel and room. The room was decorated lovely and lots of little touches, sweets on the pillows. We arrived very late and a welcome note was left on the door. Would... More

The only great thing about this hotel is location , Stayed here for 4 nights , terrible night sleep bed is like sleeping on a board, toilet and shower in room is so impersonal and so tiny hardly any room to sit down, air con caused leak, view a wall, no room cleaning, no towel change , no topping up... The room sizes are very small and the hotel is very difficult to access from the street, which is very inconvenient with luggage. Also note that parking in close vicinity is very expensive which detracts for travellers who are driving (though granted there are limited options available in Nice if you are travelling by car). Another concern in this room... More

Don't know about the other rooms, but room 10 - the cheapest one, has ensuite shower but no WC, you have to use a communal one downstairs. The room has not been refurbished for many years apparently. No fridge, no wardrobe, very little metallic chair and table. Quite dusty behind the TV. The window has no curtains. On the other... More

We slept one night at Hotel Rex and got A small chock at our arrival to the Hotel. It looks really shabby and the entance is not appealing, to put it mildly :) Two very steep stairs later we arrived at our room. Nice hostess. Our room had a window looking straight in to a wall. It is not a... More

The hotel is a bit hidden and somewhat difficult to find at first - I had to ask around even while holding the directions in hand. It's not a fancy place, but it's an inexpensive place to rest your head at night. It has a prime location in the heart of it all - restaurants steps away and the beach... More

A FAB FAB little hotel!! I had stayed there in the early 200's and was absolutely thrilled to rediscover it a few days ago. It is still warm, simple home from home. Highly highly recommend it! Didieris warm, friendly and very jovial! Cannot wait to go again!!

Booked a room in the hotel after seen the reviews. Location is the best thing about the hotel. You are right at the heart of Nice. Room was clean and quite, with friendly owners. Breakfast was decent and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing to consider if you carry a heavy luggage is that the hotel is located in... More

Perfect location, warm helpful staff and everything worked! Wifi strong, bed comfortable, linen immaculate, decor charming, staff advice invaluable and reliable. No fridge for the Roquefort but alors, no big deal, I had to eat it. Nice is a magical place in Winter and I will come again and stay again at the Rex. If all budget hotels were like... More

Great place, near the tram, the beach, the historical center and minutes away from the bus taking to the airport. The staff very friendly, nice and helpful. Arrived late the check in was very easy and detailed by mail by the Elena. Very clean and cosy !
