Nice hotel in lovely location - no real negative comments other than the room is small and our room was close to reception so we did hear the telephone ringing in the night. The staff were excellent and the view from the balcony was wonderful.
If you're looking for an ultra modern hotel, then this hotel probably isn't for you, but if you're looking for a charming, fragrant, classic French hotel with the best view in Nice plus very friendly, helpful, professional staff, you'd be hard pressed to do better than Hotel Suisse! My husband and I have visited this hotel twice before and can't imagine why we'd book anywhere else. This time we brought our children and 3 grandchildren - as a group of 8, we couldn't have been the easiest customers, especially with the children being very young. Yet the staff were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, including help with the luggage, rearranging tables in the restaurant to accommodate our group, recommending local restaurants booking taxis and looking after our luggage after we checked out, our flight being a late evening one. And as mentioned before, the view is simply stunning, by day and by night! I can honestly say that when we visit Nice again, we won't be looking at any other hotels!…
Excellent hotel in every way - location, room, breakfast but most importantly, staff. We stayed for my partner’s special birthday in February and I booked directly with the hotel and believe I not only got the best rates but complimentary personal touches which made our trip even more special. The room was well-decorated, clean and had such a stunning view that we didn’t want to leave. We would like to thank everyone at the hotel for making our stay so special and for us, there is nowhere else to stay in Nice than Hotel Suisse :)
Another super stay at this hotel, its 10 years since last time and our 5th overall at this hotel. We had 2 rooms 44 for us adults and room 45 for our son and girlfriend,(5nights) both where good but 45 was the best with 2 big windows/doors to balcony. rooms was located on 4th floor. Very friendly staff both in reception and breakfast, breakfast had many different choices so we were very satisfied, cleanliness in both room and overall in hotel was good. We will for sure come back this hotel when we visit next time.
Beautiful view of the bay of Nice - situated near to the old town and the flower market The hotel is well looked after and very clean Confortable and clean bed & room Lovely breakfast with a nice choice Just the rooms are not very soundproof
the views from the balcony are amazing and if that is all you want - go for it. But the room and bathroom and hotel are all very basic for the price. Staff were not helpful. The hotel is in a great location
Wow. What a view. 4th floor balcony room was the BEST. Also quiet road as it is one way even though it is on the seafront. Staff are helpful but we didn't try the breakfast as Old Town is close by with great coffee shops and restaurants. Comfy beds. Thank you.
The staff was not just rude, but mean. Seriously, it was SO bad, I had to call the corporate office of the hotel to complain about the manager and staff. Specifically, the hotel lied to us and said that internet was not working all over Nice, when in fact it was only this hotel that lacked internet. The hotel also lied and fraudulently advertised that it had an elevator (which presumes a guest doesn’t need to ascend a flight of steep steps in order to just use the elevator). But the very worst was the attitude of the staff. If they didn’t want to answer your question, they would simply turn their back to you. I’ve had better stays qt Motel 6 for one-tenth of the cost and been treated well, as opposed to this crowd. . Spend your money anywhere else in Nice (if you insist on going to Nice, though Italian, Spanish and Croatian beaches are cheaper and much nicer.…
We stayed at the Hotel Suisse from 31st December 2022 to 2nd January 2023. We had and paid for a "Privilege Room" . No breakfast. The only positive thing that I can say is that the view was very good. Grossly overpriced only because of the view. We arrived at around lunchtime and were told that our room would not be ready until after 4pm. After saying that that was a bit late, we got in after around waiting 40 minutes. We (and our 2 friends who were also staying at the hotel) were promised a glass of champagne upon arrival. Even after asking for it every day, we still have never seen it. Bathrobes were also supposed to be supplied in the room. We had to ask for them as there were none upon arrival. The room (Number 46 on 4th floor) was very small with little room to move around in and limited wardrobe space with a very 'tired' small bathroom. Bed was hard. The balcony was just big enough for 2 small chairs and a small table. The shaver socket did not work and when I told the guy at reception he said it would be sorted. It never was and I feel that it probably never will be. We talked to the reception staff about the size of the room as we thought a 'privilege Room' would be bigger and nicer. Unbelievably the response was " we have Privilege Rooms that are smaller than that" - I think they thought we would be grateful about that. When we checked out, we were asked how our stay was. We told then we were not happy - citing all of the above. All she said in response was - "You owe us for the local taxes - it will be €7 per night - it is the council, not us charging that". We paid and left. The most annoying and very disappointing thing is that not once did any member of staff say "sorry" or an equivalent. They just did not seem to care at all. I would certainly never return to the Hotel Suisse - and I would suggest that if you are thinking about staying there - Don't. We stayed for a night in the Mercure along the road from it - it was day and night by comparison. Great room, great service and free drinks vouchers as soon as we arrived and half the price - including a good breakfast.…
Very nice located, few minutes from the old town. Easy from the airport with the Tram to the port. Nice restaurants around the area. The staff if very friendly and do the best to help you. Looking forward to come back
