I was disappointed with my stay in this hotel for what I paid. The location was ok, a 10-15 walk to the first good bars and restaurants towards old town. We enjoyed our walks down the promenade but the main attractions are a fair distance. Everyday housekeeping gave us a bottle of water. One night I got back late and my room had not been serviced, I asked the front desk for a bottle of water because it was late, nowhere and was open. He refused to give me one and said I would have to pay. I paid £200 a night for this room and he would not give me a £1 bottle of water, which room service should have given me any way. After a couple of minutes arguing I returned to my room, the other guy on the front desk came up with water and apologised. Really poor service, will never be returning in the future, all over a bottle of water. I tried to explain when I checked out but they said housekeeping shouldn't have given me any water. The rooftop bar service was very poor. I stood waiting for a table and was barely acknowledged. I waited ages for a drink and a few times had to go and get their attention myself. The drinks were very overpriced. When I return to Nice I will be staying somewhere else, I do not recommend this hotel overall it was quite poor.

We had 8 nights at the AC Marriot in Nice.... cognisant of Covid-19 and the impact on the hospitality industry.... however still paying c.£250 per night for a 4 star hotel and expecting Marriot level service. Sadly this hotel was poor. Whilst the room was clean and tidy and the communal areas well kept, the service was poor. The breakfast was a constant effort of nudging and cajoling staff to acknowledge your presence or serve a basic menu. On one occasion we sat for nearly 30 minutes before even coffee arrived whilst the majority of tables were left unkempt and messy. Busy yes.... Covid-19 acknowledged.... but not Marrriot service levels and nothing like 4 star! Most disappointing was the rooftop bar.... on arrival as a hotel guest we were shunned and sent to a waiting area with no explanation of the reasoning and no courtesy from the host. The rooftop bar at this hotel struck us as very pretentious and much more interested in catering to external customers than hotel guests. Don’t come back to the Marriot for a night cap.... stay in town.... (and note there is nowhere nice to grab a drink nearby as it’s a 15 minute walk down the promenade to town). So is the Marriot ok? Yes... but just ok.... save your money and book a solid 3 star nearer central Nice.... because you won’t get 4 star service here!

Great little hotel very close to the promenade and the beach. Friendly staff - special mention to Julie who provided a superb checkin. She also gave me a great upgrade. The business centre was not set up so i experienced a delay for its use. Also the keyboards are set up in a different type to what is on the keyboard. Very difficult to use - not much common sense shown there. Breakfast was average. The bar upstairs is unappealing and overpriced. Nice pool though. Gave it a wide berth and went to some local bars with atmosphere and 30% cheaper drinks. However, overall a good stay.

I stay in Nice several times a year for holiday. I usually stay with Marriott properties to earn my points, and Nice has a lack of high-end Marriott hotels. My usual hotel is Le Meridien, but I've been getting a little fed up with the noise in this high traffic area of Nice. There was also an Autograph Collection Boscolo that I would stay at, but it was removed from the Marriott portfolio recently. So, all of this brought me to the AC (which is quickly becoming one of my favorite of Marriott's brands). Check-in was quick, my Marriott status was recognized and I was upgraded to a sea view room. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, modern and in the typical AC style (contemporary, roomy bathroom; good linens; comfortable bed: hard wood floor: glass-enclosed shower). The hotel has a little snack bar downstairs for a quick bite, which I used a few times. I also tried the gym, but didn't bother staying. This was a weak point for this hotel. The gym is incredibly limited - not even an elliptical! The location for the AC is very good. It is a quiet part of Nice, but incredibly easy to walk to the center of town. Also, the tram stops just near the hotel, the main Nice train station is about a 20 minute walk and the Nice center is about a 15 minute walk. Also, the lovely promenade is just across the street. I really enjoyed the comfort and quiet this hotel provided. It also offers some of the best rates in Nice. This will be my go-to hotel when I'm priced out of the (usually) much more expensive Le Meridien. It's not one of the newest AC properties out there with all of the bells and whistles, but this hotel is a perfect fit for a few days in Nice.

Really loved our three night stay at this hotel. From start to finish everyone was so helpful and friendly. Our suite was huge and really clean. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices, with both hot and cold options. Position of this hotel is excellent for everything you need to see and do whilst in Nice. Thanks to you all. Would most definitely stay here again.
