I had the opportunity to get away to Nice, and I jumped at the chance. In previous visits, I stayed nearer to the train station and Notre Dame Cathedral. I wanted to see a different part of the city. I found that the easyHotel Nice Palais des Congres - Old Town was a perfect spot. My room, 510 was clean, comfortable and modern. It was well built and everyone I met from the reception area to the maintenance professionals were delightful. I had an early flight, and for a €10 charge I was accommodated. I didn't realize how tired I was until I sank into the very comfortable bed and awoke three hours later! Breakfast was available, as is parking. I will certainly come back!
THE ROOM: spacious and had not only a good bed but room enough to walk around and open a suitcase. There was a desk area by the window and a small sitting area with a bench by the head of the bed. The room was modern and clean and smelled lovely. It was theoretically quiet as it was facing towards the back of the building but the windows have to remain shut as some guests might come and smoke and chat on the terrace (it admittedly happened only once and until someone shouted at them to go to their room). The main problem was some rather loud and repetitive structural sound, was loud enough to wake me. At first I thought that the upstair neighbours were moving a piece of furniture every 2 minutes but it made little sense. I concluded that it was one of the elevators that had some sort of issue and emitted the sound of a dying whale from early in the morning until late into the night. THE STAFF: the staff was friendly and helpful. However, be aware that you will be charged 10 euros to get into your room if you arrive at the hotel before 15:00 and your room is ready. You will be charged 5 euros to leave a suitcase in storage after 10:00 on the day of your departure. You also have to book and pay for a maid to come and change your towels and empty your bin. The hotel was pleasant and affordable but I have never had to pay for these kind of services in any hotel I have stayed at.…
Basic budget hotel and very clean. I stayed with my son July 2022 and we stayed in a twin room . It was a good size, for us, enough space to move the beds, put our suitcases on stands, and wardrobe space was adequate for two people. Bathroom was clean and good size too. Dinning room, hallway and lift is clean. However, your room is not cleaned everyday, but you can request that be done. The reception staff are welcoming and friendly, assisted with any questions or queries I had. An extra shout out to reception queen Desiree who has a permanent smile on her face. Location is fantastic, easy reach to centre of Nice, and the beach, either by tram or walking
This hotel was good value for money. We had a problem with our first room that was resolved quickly and the front desk staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet had a good choice but could have been topped up a little more but that was just because of the number of people in the breakfast room at the same time. The size of the room was also generous I thought.
This is an older hotel that has been updated with modern looking rooms. It is very clean and has basic amenities. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is reasonably priced for Nice and just a short walk to the tourist areas. There is parking on site which was not difficult to navigate.
I booked to stay here in March 2022 in a standard double room for 5 nights. The hotel was very easy to get to, nearest stop was Acropolis and then about less than 5 minutes walk. I had arrived in Nice very early than the check in time at 3pm, which seemed a bit later than most other hotel check in times, but I was allowed to store my luggage for free until the room was ready. When I entered the room, I was in room number 512. Upon entering, room was nice and spacious with plenty of room to store my belongings. I was provided with the basic amenities of towels and shower gel/hair wash in a tube attached to the wall. I did find that the toilet paper came out in a dispenser rather than on a roll and felt was quite thin toilet paper too so had to use several sheets lol. Free wifi was also included in the room. Since this is a budget hotel, I wasn't expecting a lot anyway but I still had a nice and comfortable stay. When I checked out, I did have to pay 5 euros to store my luggage but that wasn't a problem as it isn't a lot and I had some euros leftover to use up anyway. The reception staff was nice and friendly, they helped me find directions to go to an attraction that I wanted to go to, which was the Tete de Chien. I managed to have some nice conversations with the receptionists, or maybe I'm just quite chatty lol. This hotel is ideal for those who just want a room to sleep and relax in after a long day of exploring. But overall, good room size in convenient location that is easily accessible in and around Nice.…
This hotel had everything to be perfect, the location in Nice, the cleanliness of the hotel, of the bedroom and of the bathroom. Sadly, the mattress, which is to me the most important thing in a hotel room, was very uncomfortable, very "hard", it was made of two pieces who would keep on moving and sliding. I woke up everyday with pains in the shoulders, and I now have a cracked rib. Mattresses are affordable to most people, they should be the priority of a hotel.
I used this hotel for a business trip. Rooms were very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. The harbour and Old Town are close by and train station is very close for trips to Monaco etc. When you take into account the exceptional value for money that easyHotel offers, it's difficult to imagine a better Hotel in the region. I will be using again on my next trip!
East Hotel is conveniently located in Riquier, near the port, and an easy walk to the Promenade and the old city. The breakfast option is offered at a fair price, the beds are amazingly comfortable, and the hotel staff were incredible. Only complaint was that wi-fi was not secured with a password.
As an American, travelling alone with limited French abilities, this hotel was perfect. I am familiar with Nice, but I had never stayed in this part of the city - it really is a perfect location. The tram is 4 easy blocks away in a safe area, the Port, Place Garibaldi, Vieux Ville, and Nice Riquier SNCF station are all in walking distance. The staff was the most helpful I have ever experienced (and I travel a LOT, both domestically and abroad). The hotel was not full when I stayed, so I cannot comment on the quietness of the room, but the lobby area was very congenial to meeting groups and getting to know fellow travelers, if desired. The breakfast was typical of tourist class hotels - nothing to write home about, but not bad, either. I will stay here again.
