Very comfortable hotel located about 3 blocks away from the Mediterranean Sea with many shops and restaurants in a quick walking distance. My room was spacious and comfortable. A full breakfast buffet was offered every morning. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Advertised as 4 Star, not. Visited another four star in Nice April 2022 and spent two more weeks travelling this time and stayed at two more hotels that were 4 stars, in comparison would be 8 stars! Breakfast was bare minimum so if paying extra double think. Best thing about this hotel is the location. I have travelled a lot and not high end by any means but was certainly expecting more from a 4 star that I paid an upgrade for on a package deal. Bathroom was clean but we certainly questioned the towels a few days!

Absolutely terrible hotel. I’m not one to complain but I had to complain and phone booking.com to get me a refund and go to another hotel for the rest of my trip. I arrived and thought it seemed fine and I had an hour before I was meeting people so couldn’t take notice of things. The next morning though, when I went to shower, I realised there was hair on the bathroom wall, towels had stains on them, dirty mark on the shower floor, pubes in the shower, some ball things on the shower wall that to this day I honestly do not know what they were. Then I started to notice other things, dirt around the door, the floor clearly hasn’t been mopped in months, black marks on the walls etc. THEN I noticed ANTS crawling along the floor. ANTS!! I was super busy that day and so couldn’t have done anything. Next day however I was disgusted, I just felt dirty and gross from being there and didn’t enjoy sleeping the night before and I found more ants. I went to reception and showed them pictures and the guy seemed to agree. He said come back in one hour when check out is done and we will sort this out knowing which rooms are available. I said ok and off I went to start my day (bare in mind I had a whole day trip planned for that day!) I went away and came back. It was a woman this time, I said I’m here about the complaint and was told I could move rooms. I showed her pictures but she didn’t seem to care or see the issue and was a little rude. I got the impression I was bothering her. The man came and I said to him about it and he said oh yea sorry we have no available rooms. I said well if that’s the case I don’t want to be here so I’d like a refund so I can go elsewhere. They both didn’t seem to give a toss and just said well the manager isn’t here until tomorrow so you will need to stay tonight and then speak to simon tomorrow morning. I said so there is nobody in charge to talk to? The answer was again no stay tonight and sort in the morning. They said “we have cleaned your room.” I got up to my room and nobody had been in. It was still disgusting, still had ants around the floor. So I phoned booking.com and said to them to see what the options were. They called the hotel on my behalf and demanded they refund me the remaining days I would have been there. This is great but I do feel I should have been compensated more especially because I didn’t get to go on my day trip. I ended up having to sort all this out all day so I missed a whole day of my holiday. But at least something was done. I booked Hotel Apollinaire Nice and 5 minutes later I was there.

I had NO apology from staff. Not one sorry! What a disgrace!

It was absolutely disgusting. The moment I walked into my new hotel I felt so much better and at ease. It was so clean and comfortable and super staff. I recommend staying at the Apollinaire! WAY better than this dump!

 4 stars?! More like 0!!!!!

We had booked this hotel for our trip to Nice, but on our way to Nice from Paris, we faced an emergency situation. So due to unavoidable circumstance could not travel. Some one stole our passport at Paris. Regarding the same I sent an alteration request to this hotel also along with a mail to the manager, but they simply refused to entertain the same, despite me providing evidence for a special situation. They charged us for the complete stay, so I would like to state that money is not a major concern. But a hotel at a tourist destination should be understanding of guest conditions and in case for then money is bigger than humanity then they should not be in this industry called hospitality. I carry a sour experience with them and hence would never recommend this hotel to any one, if they can turn their back towards a genuine request then what experience they would provide to their guests. So book at your own discretion.

Only good thing in the hotel is the location. Food allergies are not noticed on breakfast (at all) and the restaurant staff doesn`n even try to help you if you ask for allergies. The rooms are quite dirty, the room keys won`t work properly, safety box is broken… And the is a very strong smell in the corridiors coming from the air fresheners. Cannot recommend this hotel.

There are two areas of concern with this hotel. It is catering for large tour groups that stay one night and then move on. These people all have breakfast at the same time, and the breakfast space is just not big enough to cope, and the noise levels at breakfast are deafening. One waitress was clearing tables but they weren't relaid. She had no help at all. The reception area is also small and if a large group and luggage arrive, it is impossible to get in or out of the hotel. The other problem is that no-one cares. Food and cutlery ran out at breakfast. The tea in the breakfast area wasn't replenished for two days. Reception staff were surly and unhelpful. Hot water was never more than lukewarm. We were there for nearly a week and for all that time there was a leak from the ceiling in reception with a bucket underneath. There seemed to be no attempt to repair it. This so called 4 star hotel does not serve lunch or dinner. I've been in better Travelodges.

We arrived to the hotel without reservation. The lady at the reception told us that there is only one room (!!!), we checked the room and we accepted it. Later on, it turned out that we can not open the window, the safebox and the hairdryer didn't work, and we found hair in the bed. We made a complaint to the reception and the same lady told us that there is an other room (why didn't she offer it for the first time???). The lady didn't even say sorry for the inconvenience, and she was quite rude, like she was angry for us because we made a complaint. Anything I asked at the reception, I felt very unpleasant, I felt like I am disturbing them. Supposed to be 4* but hospitality 1*

To all wheelchair users who would contemplate booking this hotel, BEWARE!!! Confirmation of our wheelchair accessible room confirmed twice by phone. (My husband is in an electric wheelchair, which is usually narrower than a manual one) We were given room 110. My husband can't get into the room: fire extinguisher is in the way! Marco from reception unhooks the fire extinguisher. Access still impossible, door in corner and manoeuvres impossible. Marco took us to another nearby hotel, but lift too small. Back to HNR Marco shows us 4 executive rooms but the bathrooms of these rooms are not big enough for wheelchairs. My husband decides then to go back to the first room proposed and to try to get in... in reverse and he made it! In my opinion a manual wheelchair user would not be able to access this room. Finally, after 3 hours of stress, we could finally relax... Although no support bars in the toilet... The next morning, a technician came to install the bars. Conclusion: It is true that the hotel staff, Marco in particular, did their utmost to find a solution but it is still unacceptable that people should be victims of such a situation.

This is a 1 star hotel, not 4 star. The air conditioning was out and after reading other reviews had the same complaint, it went on for a long time. Staff lied about why the air was not cooling. Sharon was awful, when I called about the AC she said she would send a man to fix it knowing the whole system had been down for 2 weeks. We were a group traveling thru Gate 1 and the hotel was told to get the ac up by 1 pm or we would leave. Surprise the ac was on by 1 pm. Someone said, they think the air will be off after we leave. This hotel should not be on any travel site or used by any tour company. It was so hot I slept in the cooler hallway.

I spent a week at the hotel on a high-end group tour.Other ,much larger ,groups were staying. Our fifth floor room had a good bed,and the required four star fittings (fridge, safe kettle etc.) ,but had rather bleak decor and no carpet ( there was some carpet in the wardrobe). The aircon worked perfectly and had normal controls.Noise was not excessive. I was disappointed by the bathroom. There was no bath, and the new looking fittings included floor tiling identical to the walls, and therefore very slippery when wet.The shower was likewise hazardous and had no grip handles or door. A readymade ,very shallow,basin/ counter had been fitted which was too narrow for the available space,so that articles could fall off the ends. As well as being overwhelmed by non-european tour groups with no regard for personal space or resrained speech levels ,breakfast was generally poorer than. the Campaniie motel I used last week. The supply of cutlery repeatedly ran out,and replacements were thrust out from the servery in drums with the blades/ points upward. No drinking glasses were available on any day- but the orange juice was watery and bitter in any case. The hot food ran out. Contrary to other reviews,I noticed no lack of cleanliness in my room or the public spaces. There were,,however ,many signs of neglect.A bucket lay under a water drip in the foyer for at least four days. One lift had the second floor button permanently active ,causing a delay. On the main stairs, two of the landings were cluttered by surplus beds. Some rooms had no fire plan on the door. The front door has a mat showing four stars.Until there is a more alert style of management, this number is excessive.
