Lovely quirky hotel in a great location, short walk from tram stop and great for restaurants and the centre. Staff were very helpful and attentive, nice little touches with beach towels available and brollies (did it rain!). We had a deluxe room, which was very generous space wise with a huge bathroom. Room was slightly tired, some of the wallpaper coming away in places, otherwise would have been a 5 star review.

This place was just okay, in my opinion. The exterior of the building is beautiful, the front desk staff were helpful and lovely. The location is well situated between the train station and the beach. They offer free towels and umbrellas for use at the beach which is a nice touch! We didn't end up buying the breakfast but I stuck my head in one day, and offerings looked varied and pretty tasty. But I suppose I wasn't blown away by the rooms themselves...they just seemed a little tired (we were in a 'superior' room). And they don't keep the hallways to the rooms lit. They say this is part of their energy conservation efforts, which I can respect, but not sure I'd have felt super safe if I was traveling alone. Walls are thin, so I did hear noise from our neighbors, as well as street traffic (though this was only an issue on Saturday night when folks were screaming outside in the middle of the night). Overcome with some earplugs, fortunately. The elevator you'll take up to your rooms fits only two people and some luggage, so expect that. Overall, it does the trick though - it gets you into the city for a tolerable price. Beds were comfy enough, bathroom was spacious enough (although it's truly the narrowest bath tub alive and I'm a petite woman), air conditioning worked well enough. I think most people will walk away thinking it was just fine, not memorable in really either direction and therefore, probably not a place you're itching to recommend to friends or family. …

Our experience at Le Grimaldi Hotel was flawless from start to finish. On arrival we were greeted by Firas who was incredibly warm and welcoming. He immediately made us aware that we had received a room upgrade and then made us an espresso whilst explaining the details of the hotel to us. The hotel is immaculately presented and our suite was incredibly comfortable. There are lovely touches within the hotel including free still or sparkling water which you can top up in recyclable glass bottles, free marshmallows and sponge fingers to enjoy with your coffee. We stayed for 4 days with the intention to explore Nice and the surrounding areas, given this the hotel is ideally situated being a short walk from the beach, a five minute walk from the Old Town, a 1 minute walk to a tram station and 15 minute walk from Nice train station. There are also 2 Michelin star restaurants right next door. We had plans to visit the likes of Monaco, Cannes, Eze, Antibes, Villefranche and received great advice from Firas and Anais on how to get to each destination, the best mode of transport and the best time to visit. As a result we definitely feel we experienced the very best that Nice and the surrounding areas had to offer. We are so pleased that we chose to stay at Le Grimaldi, we had a truly memorable stay and will definitely be returning at some stage in the future. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a larger room, at a higher price, and it was certainly worth it. The rooms are a bit outdated but the bathroom was large with two sinks, a shower, and a tub; perfect for two people. The location is very good, only two blocks from a large shopping and restaurant area. Also very close to the waterfront. Walkable to Nice Ville train station. Minimal services like many French hotels.

Cute boutique hotel with French bohemian vibes. You’ll be greeted by orange flower scent, a comfy sitting area and bar with fireplace, library, all just perfectly decorated! I had deluxe queen room which had ample space an antique armoire to die for, and a beautiful French window view of church next door! Bathroom had lots counter space. Loved taking the vintage elevator up - felt like I was in an old French film! Easy check in/check out, didn’t have breakfast but dining area was clean and neat with same vintage bohemian style. Staff was nice and helpful, many thanks to William!

Wonderful little hotel, perfectly located close to the centre of town and the beach. Super welcome from staff who were genuinely helpful. Very comfortable, peaceful room and a fab breakfast. Great reception area. We loved this place and will look out for ‘Happy Culture’ hotels on our next trip.

It was a perfect stay. Staff were helpful especially Aria. The hotel is well connected with restaurants and assisted in booking our dinners. All the recommendations for dinner were 10/10. We will definitely stay here again.

Ferras, one of the people at the front desk was very welcoming and very nice. the hotel is very charming and we loved it. It also had a great location, walking distance to everything necessary in Nice. We also loved the little snacks in the lobby . Thank you Grimaldi!

Hotel le Grimaldi has been a pleasure to stay at during our time in Nice! The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the beach, the old part of the city (vieux Nice) and also from shopping centers like Nice etoile and Galleries Lafayette. But the hotel is situated in a quiet and nice street away from the noise, but with a few shops and restaurants nearby. In fact, 2 Michelin restaurants are right next door. The hotel is clean and quiet, staff friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful view over a little church next door. Rooms were spacious and I love the Classic interior with old-fashioned French furniture! Bathrooms were fine and I love that there were shelves and cupboards to place my stuff there. Beds were comfy. Did not try the breakfast as kids slept too long. There is a water dispenser with Still and sparkling water for guests to use any time in the reseption, perfect in the heat. Can really recommend staying here!…

Room is made of partition so you can hear everything in the other rooms including toilet activities Upon check out at 12 pm they asked me for 25 euros for extra one hour because apparently their check out policy is at 11 am which is not as per hotels standards plus they never informed me this upon check in!!!! The bed structure is terrible and uncomfortable as well Highly disappointing hotel and wouldn’t recommend it for anyone to stay there because you will end up having a disturbing stay and even if they pay me to stay there I wouldn’t!

Indeed, the departure time is set at 11am in our establishment. There is a charge of €25 for each additional hour, which we do not apply very often. Depending on availability, we are happy to grant extra time to our guests who request it, and we are sorry that you did not take advantage of our flexibility concerning this measure.
