We came to Nice to get some sun on our white bodies after the Covid-19 closedown. Had first bokked a king room with terasse and sea view and realized at chech in that this room even at 8th floor and facing the sea had a roof over the terrasse that blocked all sun after 14:00. We then managed to upgrade ourselves to a jr suite on the top floor with a corner view. No roof to block the sun and sun from 9am until it sets in the west. Also the service in the hotel was very good. Most staff was very friendly and service minded. Thank you all for a Great time.
My wife and I went to Nice to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunatley the original hotel we booked was a disaster. We called the Le Meridien to switch hotels and the brilliant front desk and Deborah, from reservations were fantastic. Helping us book and having a room available propmtly on our arrival at 10 am. They were friendly attentive and the service was great. Breakfast on the roof top terrace and the little touches like Champagne in the room for us were amazing. Although they warned us the renovations could cause inconveniance, we did not find this an issue at all. We definitly stay with them again on next trip to Nice. A big thank you to the Le Meridien for saving a very special time for us.
The location is very good, probably the hotel having the best location in town. You are closed to everything. The view is amazing, you are just in front of the sea. I would say that rooms have a little cold atmosphere and more warm would be appreciate. Unfortunately, you feel like it's a standardized hotel. Also the valet asked me to park the car myself in the garage...strange.
We reserved a garden/sea view room months in advance to enjoy the Nice carnival parades and our room did not disappoint. We were able to see the entire day and night parades while enjoying French wines in the peace and quiet of our room. The friendly hotel staff managed to keep carnival goers not staying at the hotel from overrunning the second floor lobby and the rooftop terrace for views. Breakfast was very good and the sea views from the breakfast lounge simply beautiful. We had plenty of dinner options within easy walking distance and the area was safe even with carnival crowds. Old Nice is well within walking distance, as well. Wifi was good and the views from the rooftop terrace spectacular. Un très bon séjour.
Husband and I spent 5 nights here during some of the 2020 Carnaval celebrations. Marriott outdid themselves with presenting a serene, updated property...while 3 other floors were being re-furbished. Both Giosue and Beatrix, at the Front Desk, are wonderful Ambassadors for Marriott to carbon copy at their other properties. Room assignment/upgrade quickly acknowledged; room and view to die for! Daily breakfast, with a view as well, was another Marriott tradition carried through to France. Bravo to the teams at the Front Desk, Housekeeping and Food Services for really showing they love their work- (and to Marriott for hiring such a staff!).
