We recently stayed at Le Negresco with my husband. Le Negresco is a very special place, which offers glimpse into history and culture, in addition to comfort and modern amenities. What makes is very special - is its uniqueness, it is unlike any other place we ever visited. It truly is like a museum, and we loved the study of how it was created. In our era of globalization and standardization, with all the chain hotels, it is refreshing and rewarding to see something so unique. Staff is attentive and responsive. Location cannot be any better - right on iconic Promenade de Anglais with amazing views of Meditarranean, and close to everything. Our compliments to everyone who maintains the spirit of this wonderful place - Thank you!
We absolutely LOVE Le Negresco. We wanted to stay many more days! The decor is as cool as can be. Great art, Awesome vibe, Impeccable service, Great bar, Stunning Rooms, just Awesome! The location cannot be beat. Will definitely stay on our next trip to France!
We have been to Nice many times and admired the façade of Le Negresco but have never been inside. Grabbing the bull by the horns we made the decision to go in for a lunch time drink believing that perhaps as we were not residents we would not be admitted. To the contrary we received a warm welcome. As you would expect with the calibre of the hotel the service was outstanding and the ambiance overwhelming. Yes, the drinks were expensive, but the finger food was great value for money. We really enjoyed our hour and half in the hotel and it was well worth the money - just for the experience!
My sister and daughter (4 ans) chose to stay at the most iconic hotel in Nice for our trip together. Immediately upon arriving we were greeted exceptionally kindly and allocated an incredible room that was Coco chanel inspired. The hotel has a haunted feel in the sense that stories roam the halls and rooms like no other. Madame Augiers personal art collection tells a story of who she was as a woman, an icon amongst the hotel staff and guests alike. We simply loved it. It’s old, sure but that’s part of the charm. It felt slightly spooky at times, but again we loved that too. One strange point is when we were checking out about to leave and sitting in the famous state room, a woman randomly approached us asking if our home was decorated the same (jokingly of course). It turns out she is from the exact same small town in Canada as we are. If you know how small our town is; it would be extremely shocking to meet someone in Nice, let alone staying at the same hotel from there. Anyways, just a point that I want to remember. Shows how small the world is. We ate at both restaurants in the hotel which were lovely both in service terms and the food quality. Of course, I recommend to try when your there, whether staying at the hotel or not. It’a opposite the famous promenade de Anglais and also centrally located to walk most places. If I do not buy a place in Nice of my own, I will surely stay here again!…
Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Negresco. Hotel is literally a museum. Room was spacious and very comfortable bed. Bathrooms are beautiful with all amenities. The hotel is over 100 years old so there are some quirks, but I appreciate the effort to maintain an historic property. The service from the staff is exceptional - everyone so attentive and responsive. I give the highest marks to service. The location is fabulous - gorgeous view of the Mediterranean and very close to everything in Nice. The restaurants are both Michelin starred and breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. It was difficult to leave the room because it was so comfortable and peaceful. There aren't many hotels left in the world that provide this combination of beauty, history and service. Staying here will make any trip to Nice unforgettable. Furniture in room are all antique and you feel like royalty staying here - which is appropriate. Couldn't recommend more highly.…
We are just back from having a wonderful stay at Le Negresco. The hotel is so central to everything in the fabulous city of Nice. The reception staff when we arrived were great and showed us around the hotel before taking us to our room which they had upgraded for us to a room with a sea view (heavenly). We loved just watching the world go by from the balcony in the gorgeous sunny weather. Concierge staff - Philip/Diane and Joanna were great (we asked a lot of questions) and they were superb giving us directions and information on how to get to Eze and St Paul to Vence (both places highly recommended and easy to get to on public transport especially as all journeys are 1.50 euro). The hotel itself is so unique on each floor with all its different artwork. Our room was a great size with lovely decor and was kept extremely clean so thank you to whoever cleans room 318. Lous was the duty manager when we were there and he was a lovely, happy young man doing a great job - so thank you Louis and all your team for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and will hopefully be back!…
The hotel is so beautiful and interesting! I have wanted to stay here for a long time and this time we manged to do so. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the sea. Really nice. All the staff was nice and helpful. The room was so pretty and big with a nice bathroom. The hotel is so interesting with a lot of paintings and arts and the building is so beautiful. Breakfast buffet was really good exept that they did not have any sweet pastry that was gluten- free for my daugher that has Celiac disease. They had gluten-free bread though. Otherwise there are a lot of choices. It was nice to sit outside in the garden and have breakfast. You have to pay for breakfast - it was not included. 35 euros.
The Hotel Negresco lives up to its reputation! My husband and I spent four dreamy days at this exquisite hotel which features more than 6,000 pieces of original art. The concierges - with their hard earned crossed keys, were most knowledgeable; in fact, all of the staff was most welcoming. The rooms were quiet - the bath sheets and robes were sumptuous - the bed, pillows and linens were heavenly. The manager, Sabrina, made our celebration (BIG BIRTHDAYS for us both) completely memorable! Merci Sabrina and The Hotel Negresco for this life memory!
The hotel is absolutely a gem. The staff give very personalized service and make you feel welcomed. A magical space filled with history and unique treasures at every turn that happens to be in the best location in Nice!
A stay at this historic and incredible hotel is always a treat. Antonio welcomed us back and made our stay a delight, Xavier quickly assisted us with all of our additional needs. The hotel is a museum of art and it’s bar and restaurant are both beautiful and indulgent. Looking out your window at the clear blue water simply completes all of your needs.
