Wonderful hotel with a beautiful garden and multiple pools to relax and enjoy! We were lucky to have the pool near the entrance often totally to ourselves. The room was cozy with a lovely terrass, nicely hidden. Only the restaurant was in our opinion overprized and after 2 tries not worth to visit. Therefore breakfast was great with lovely staff and a beautiful view.
The hotel is clearly in a great location with outstanding scenery. However, the rooms were really basic, with very stained carpets. The check in was not good. Waited at least an hour. Then the room was not clean, waited longer for another room. The room was very small. The concierge was very helpful. The restaurant food selection was terrible. They smirked when I was astonished that they only had meat dishes. The dessert was very basic. It turns out it was the last week and it was closing for refurbishment, they could have definitely done more to accommodate better. I liked the location and the big pool but the spa is definitely not warm similar temperature as the pool which I do not mind but I suspect it is supposed to be warmer. The gym is very small but open air which was interesting and ok I supposed.…
Exceptional estate grounds with expansive views - and just a few minute walk to « la vieille ville » so we had wonderful walks, shopping, art galleries and cafés to enjoy too Very friendly staff with warm greetings & great advice for hikes and pétanque! Strongly recommend for relaxation and active vacations!
What a treat to be back in France and at the Mas Candille. It's a lovely calm, well run hotel just on the edge of the village. The rooms are comfortable and the staff always friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely experience at the hotel, though we stayed for only one night. The property is tranquil and lush, with two pools, a jacuzzi, and many gardens. Check-in was immediate and easy, and the staff were all welcoming, attentive, and friendly, despite our limited proficiency in French. Delicious though pricey food at the only restaurant currently open, and a wonderful breakfast. Our stay included a credit at the beautiful spa, where we thoroughly enjoyed our treatments. I wasn’t expecting much from the small town above the hotel, but it was an excellent place to pass an afternoon. I’m not sure that I would stay longer than a few nights here, as it’s a rather sleepy corner of the world. That said, it was relaxing and an excellent base to explore Grasse. Be aware that the hotel’s style is country chic, so it is neither the most modern nor sleek, though it was spotless and comfortable.…
We had a 12 night stay at la mas candille and very much enjoyed it . The entrance is amazing, large iron gates and a very long drive with nice landscaping . Check in was friendly and we were happy they do check the required covid vaccination status for all guests. Rooms are elegant and comfortable . We do recommend getting a room facing the valley rather than the other side: which is gardens or even parking lot . They left a 1/2 bottle of champagne and a lovely fruit plate as a welcome gift. Much appreciated. The full restaurant was closed but the bistro was elegant and top rate food , if a limited menu . Understandable for a small restaurant . The outside dining terrace is beautiful and romantic, service excellent . The property itself has lovely , spacious grounds with the main pool being the crown jewel : large , not crowded, with a good selection of food and drink . But the people are what make this hotel . Nicolas, at the pool, helped us get a restaurant reservation on a night when it was a difficult task due to demand - he did it ! Frank from the front desk gave us great ideas what to do in Cannes , including a ferry to the little islands offshore ( who knew ?) . Special mention to the incredibly hard working, friendly , and efficient assistant manager Julie , don’t think she rests much . Thank you for all your great information Julie, help in many other ways , and for your warm hospitality ! Last is the location , a short , if uphill walk, to many restaurants in the medieval beautiful village of mougins . We also did day trips by car to eze ( go!) , the mountains , gourdin, and the coast , of course . Try avoid coming back in rush hour though , if you can , gets a bit busy . We would stay here again without hesitation !…
Very pleasant swimming pool, very beautiful views, close to the center of the village, very good restaurant, very nice room, the staff had been really nice with all my family, they helped us a lot to organize our trips, next time we will try to stay longer because we have fond memories of it
We’ve stayed in this hotel about three years ago. It was a lovely experience for us by then. This time is a complete disappointment. Check in was rushed and unwelcoming. We had dinner at their “one star” restaurant which we dined before. The quality of the food dropped massively. Way lack of seasoning except loads of sweetness. Service was lack of communication as well. We need to pour water for ourselves and ask for refill of our wine. We booked a junior suite room. The telephone is not working in our room, and our room is all the way at the bottom of the hotel. We didn’t get the turndown service at the first night, so we woke up by the sunlight at 6 in the morning. No cleaning service unless you put the card on your door, however, no one told us that during check in. We didn’t get our room cleaned until 5pm the second day. The front of house were so warm and welcoming for French speaking people. Completely can’t be bothered to service us. It’s a complete let down by this hotel. We booked through Amex, got a 100 euro voucher, no one informed us to book the spa early or anything. When we try to book the spa the first we arrive, been told that the earliest available time is three days after we check out.…
It was our first stay at the Mas Candille, we took the Staycation 24 offer, and we were delighted. It has been an absolute perfect stay, from the estate itself, to the team, room, dinner, lunch, pools, everything has been perfect. The only remark, the breakfast buffet could be improved, but that's it ;)
Excellent hotelresort in a beautiful area with very kind stafmembers. The Hotel is situated near by Nice airport and close to the coast. The staff is very friendly and the accommodation is very charming.
