I stayed for 6 nights at this hotel. It is very good for families with a good layout and offers a daily turnover service. Catherine-/ the staff at the front desk is very service minded-/ accommodating, and has a genuine customer focus. The restaurant serves a good breakfast and the dinner menu is just right, the food was very delicate and well prepared. The hotel is only 7 km. from Cannes, and offers a quiet and comfortable location with horseback riding, golf and Tennis nearby. Old Town Mougins is defin. worth a visit. All in all i would recommend this hotel. Pros: Layout, location if you want a more personal and quiet location close to Cannes and Mougins, food is good and place i clean with spacious apartments with a fully equipped kitchen (2 TV's ) and 2 bathrooms. Large Balcony facing south-/West. The reason i dont give the hotel 4 stars is the pool. The pool is nice, but while we were there the tiles in the pool felt like they needed a good cleaning; but i guess that's easy to fix. we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at this hotel with many other families, so perfect for couples travelling with children.

A quite impeccable place near mougin. You need a gps to find the place which is pretty hidden but close to many great destinations in the Cote d’azur. The place is comfortable, with clean rooms and great value for the price. Gardens are well taken care off. However the building where we stayed was runned out witj paint peeling off the walls amd ceilings with a big humidity. The rooms were well appointed and taken care off. We use this hotel now as a good platform to go to St Tropez, Cannes etc. Good place to relax with the family

You need to need this place functions as serviced apartments. There is nobody there from 23:00 on and the services available are quite limited.
Starting on the positive side, the location is great and the apartments are comfortable and in good condition. There are four or five house (mas, in French) and they all have apartments ranging from a small about 20sqm room to big three bedroom apartments.
All the rooms I have seen have a terrace and that makes the experience much more charming (if the weather helps).
The swimming pool is small but enough for a swim or for the kids to enjoy some time in the water.
The restaurant is just ok. We only had one meal and felt like we are disturbing them. It closes at 22:00 and then the place looks deserted.
There is an underground parking where any car can enter easily.

We are currently staying at this apartment hotel which started off quite well. The restaurant staff are fantastic and very helpful. There are a number of issues which have surfaced during the visit. If you are from Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, England or anywhere else you must wear face masks everywhere due to COVID. If you are from France you don’t have to. Also, only French families are allowed on the pool sun beds. If you do manage to get a bed and leave it to go to the room or get a drink the hotel manager throws your belongings on the floor to make room for French families. When around the pool it is forbidden for children to jump or dive in the pool for safety reasons. But if you are French then it is ok. The hotel manager shouts profanities out of his top floor window at you and at your children but is not available to speak to the fathers face to face. The hotel hierarchy are very concerned about social distancing unless you are around the pool and then that is ok because it washes off and in France if you are in the pool you are technically always washing your hands.

We just settled in this hotel and I am extremely dissatisfied with the service here. Me and my husband have honeymoon and all that we except to receive it’s just clean and bright room. What we have received? Room with a noise from the trains from the railway 10 meters from our window, dirty toilet, previously used toilet paper and someone’s SOCKS near our bed! It’s means that our room was no cleaned...
The front desk receptionist Dominique tried to do all the best but it turned out that on Saturday at 4 p.m. this hotel does not even have a cleaning lady!
I’m extremely shocked and would like to say that I do not recommend this place to nobody!

Overall stay was quiet disappointing. No assistance with baggages although they claim it is a four star hotel. One of the two apartments we had booked was disgusting when we got there:

1- Hair in bathroom
2- Hair on living room carpet
3- Freakin toe nail in the bed room floor ( pic below)

To top it off our bedroom Air conditioning was not working so our vacation was more of camping mode in mid-August heat.

The staff was quite responsive and did their best to address the issues, however I think this place has a fundamental mismanagement problem

I have stayed in this hotel before and enjoyed its facilities. Now, at the beginning of October, in low season, the hotel was more quiet. We got an excellent offer and even if we were just a couple, we stayed in the one bedroom apartment, which can host a family. It was very nice and big, with an elegant living and private terrace. Quiet bedroom, excellent mattress, nice decoration.Located at few minutes by car from Mougins Village, Cannes and surroundings, it is an excelent place to explore the region. The Golf course is a plus.

I stayed at Mas du Grand Vallon Hotel for business.

Checking in was a nightmare, it took 2 hours. They simply said I didn't have a room, and they'd given it to someone else. And when I protested that I did indeed book a room, and who had taken it, they wouldn't give me the name.... it was my name. I was stranded in the lobby for 2 hours because they didn't understand my name.

They then blamed me for not saying it correctly and gave me no compensation.

Later I asked where I could sit for a drink, and they said "sorry, ask someone else"

I asked for many other things such as wifi - again they looked at me strangely and suggested it was obvious. However yes you do need a password and username.

The grounds and pool are fine and lovely, but sorely overshadowed by annoying staff.

Absolutely dire hotel with the rudest staff imaginable.
Paying customers treated like dirt.
Mougin is lovely but do not ruin your family holiday by staying in this disgrace of a hotel.
Needs to hire new staff

Do not book ‘Les Mas du Grand Vallon’. Hotel unable to provide the services advertised and expected and the customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced.

We arrived on a Thursday evening in early September and were told upon arrival, that a work conference had ‘taken over’ the hotel and the restaurant would not be able to provide us food. You do not discard guests needs simply because you have taken a lucrative booking from a local company.

We looked forward to making use of the swimming pool, this was the main reason we booked Les Mas du Grand Vallon. The pool was not in a fit state to be used. There were hundreds of dead insects floating in the green murky water, thoroughly uninviting, worlds apart from the glossy marketing images. When we complained our party was lied to and fobbed off for a number of hours (during which the aggressive lady on reception claimed a cleaner would arrive imminently) only to then be told that the pool could not actually be cleaned as the filtration system had been clogged up by sun cream. A problem they then admitted had been a long standing issue as a result of a long hot French summer. Aren’t all French summers long and hot? To risk the health of guests including very young children with a stagnant swimming pool is utterly unacceptable.

The behaviour of the staff throughout our stay was abysmal. The lady who ran the reception desk was rude and aggressive. She wasn’t even able to bring herself to offer a hint of an apology. Nothing was offered by way of a refund or compensation, and their policy to charge you in full when you arrive is totally disgraceful as they refused any refund and allowed no access to the manager. Instead they insisted we raise any issues with booking.com. A procedure we have since learnt from booking.com is totally unconventional. Having pursued our complaint on our return we have not seen a penny from the hotel and not a sniff of an apology. The hotels defence to booking.com was essentially branding us liars, totally unacceptable. Overall a truly abysmal experience. Stay here at your own risk.
