Pros:
The decor: it’s really superb! I rarely liked the decor of a hotel so much. It’s girly, vintage, Californian spirit. I love it!
Very comfortable bedding.
- The balcony overlooking the pool.
The varied breakfast.
- The restaurant terrace and swimming pool very nice.
- The table tennis, the pétanque court and direct access to the canal.
- Close access to the beaches.

Cons:
Service! This is more about camping staff than a 4-star hotel. We had warned that we would arrive late (11pm) and were reassured that a guard would be there. We arrived at 10:50 p.m. Gate closed. We rang and called literally for 20 MINUTES NON-STOP. No one opened us up. It took a couple to leave the hotel for the gate to open and we could enter. Arriving at the reception slightly upset, a gentleman greets us by saying “oh yes there is an evening tonight”. Not a word of apology! He gave us our card without explaining how the hotel works, breakfast times or check-out...
Same about breakfast where no one welcomes us or explains how it works.
My 7 year old daughter wanted to touch a scarf for sale at the reception, she was reprimanded by the manager. Too bad I wanted to buy it...
Finally for Sunday, we asked if we could have lunch on site by the pool. The answer “it’s brunch on Sunday 49€/adult; 19€/child. If you do not wish to brunch, you will have to go outside.”

In short, it is sorely lacking in services and attention for a hotel of this standing.

Watch out for evenings on Friday/Saturday nights. The rooms overlook the terrace of the restaurant so it is very very noisy until midnight.

On arrival we found the decor to be garish - lots of pastel colours, stripes and weird furniture but after a couple of days we found we actually liked it. Bedrooms were fairly spacious with plenty storage space and ours had it's own patio area which was nice place to sit in and have a drink. The bathroom had an over bath shower but there was no cradle to put the shower head in so you had to hand hold it - not ideal.
There's a great outside bar but it's relatively expensive (the cheapest bottle of wine was 36 Euro and a large beer was 10 Euro) so I wouldn't drink too much there. Breakfast is very good with a wide choice of items which were kept stocked. On Sunday we booked their brunch which cost 45 Euro each but the quality and range of the food was excellent and you can eat as much as you like - recommended. Staff were hard working and helpful throughout.

WOW! Absolutely perfect! Could not fault any part of the hotel. It's funky, fun and relaxed! Just what we wanted in a perfect location and the comfort of the bed was to die for! Absolutely the best bed we have ever slept in.
The breakfast was wonderful, cocktails strong and lovely!!!! Staff were fab, some speak English, some don't but it was nice to test out my french!
The location itself was perfect and we walked into Cannes most days, swam in the sea even though it was the end of November!!
Transfer by car was quoted $160 so we went by train for $19 return for both of us!! then a lovely 25 minute walk to the hotel.
Cannes is expensive but we know that! However, worth every penny.

I booked Casarase in June 2024 for a weeks visit in June 2025. I obtained a really good price for booking a year in advance and didn't have to pay a deposit. The hotel confirmed my booking and I asked if they organised airport transfers and they said yes, so I confirmed that I would be back in touch nearer the time. I then bookrd my BA flights. I emailed in January 2025 to book and pay for my transfers and they replied they had cancelled my booking as they had a conference for three days ant they had emailed in August 2024 to tell me, but I did not receive the email - I religiously check my junk mail several times a day! They did not try and offer me any comprise which I found very strange.

The annoying thing was, the hotel was still offering accommodation on their website for the exact dates of my booking at 2.5 times the price, and they are still offering rooms at the advantageous price of my booking for next year.

Has anyone else had this experience? I think the hotel cancels bookings once they are full and then lets the rooms at double the price.

I have booked rooms as an independant traveller for 40 years and never had this problem. I was left very dissapointed and two airline tickets.

After seeing positive reviews about this Pension we decided to book. We had requested a quiet room upstairs and this was respected. For the positive is true that the rooms are spacious, unfortunately for the rest....
First of all the Pension is eccentric there is almost nothing to do around. Don't be surprised that breakfast is included in the Room Award. Otherwise you'd have to do without it!
Then for a 4-star Pension you would really have to review the reception... Not a smile, not a morning hello when eating breakfast, it's quite surprising. The curvettes are obviously reserved for regulars of a certain age , amazingly the waiters were at their care... Customers themselves have fun saying that servers "fight" to serve them. Anyway.
Breakfast without surprise (it's the same every morning and you'll have to get up early to have pancakes) and the same for the restaurant, good certainly but limited menu. If you decide to have a snack around the pool you will need to be patient (45 min to have a salad). When at the check-out do not expect to be asked if everything went well it is the least of their worries.
And finally for a Pension renovated in 2021 it is still well damaged. Indeed the rooms are far from nickel: dirty carpets in places, chairs on the terrace dirty too, a ton of hair that I myself removed from the shower... Oh yes and then do not expect to find water in the mini-bar of your room there is no water. They supply decanters of water (?) on demand. Same for slippers or other accessories you have to ask everything.
Well, maybe we're too demanding after all, but I'll let you judge for yourself.
PS: with Siagne nearby plan mosquito repellent for your evenings.

Stylish and functional resort. Great balance of price, quality and service. The interiors are inspired by the magic '60s, but nothing is overdone. The furniture is minimalist but functional, rooms are large and beds confortable.
The structure is generally very clean.
The outside facilities are well integrated with the overall style: everything from the facade colorful paints to the tables layout and furniture add up together to leave an impression of a well thought project.
Personnel is kind and professional.
Swimming pool is small but reasonably enjoyable.
Price to performance is very competitive for the standards of the region.
In-house restaurant and drinks are a bit on the expensive side though: food qulity is very good but the bill will soar up quite fast.
There are cheaper and good alternatives in town.
This could be the only remark for an otherwise very attractive proposition.

Excellent welcome, the bar team is very Leader and very friendly! All the staff is exceptional.
The rooms are very nice, comfortable bedding, very original pastel decoration, a little extra for canal side rooms. The exotic garden is very nice and well maintained!
And Sunday morning brunch is a treat!
Do it again!

I am extremely disappointed by the welcome I received at the Casarose Pension. I forgot a valuable ring and when I tried to contact the manager (three times) to discuss it, she was not only unpleasant, but also refused to take a few minutes to discuss my situation. She misspoke to me and made me understand that my request was not worthy of her time.
His colleague made it clear that he did not care about my ring. Such a lack of professionalism and empathy is unacceptable, especially in a facility that is supposed to offer good service. I would not recommend this Inn if you expect a minimum of consideration and respect.
Supporting evidence.

This is the best hotel in the south of France !I’m here from California for a few weeks as I wanted to spend some time in the south of France . The hotel is under a new ownership they just did the big opening in July . The positive energy, the costumer service , the food , the cocktails and the rooms are incredible. There is a nice pool as well . What I love the most is every little details . The concept is the 70’s in California so you will feel being back in time in a city like Palm spring. This place is very close to Cannes and Nice … this colorful hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the beach which was perfect and it’s right in front of a beautiful canal where you can rent a boat or walk along the promenade . The hotel also have bikes. Thank you again !
