La Chèvre D or is a truly wonderful place to visit , a hidden gem with breath taking views. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff were superb , our room had plenty of character and a stunning view.
Visited Monaco for Rolex open (Tennis) - and brought my father who turned 60. You couldn't ask for a better place to spend quality time with family and/or loved one. Food ***** cleanliness ***** view ***** value for money - absolutely, but still it is expensive.
nothing but the beautiful Mediterrannee, this world-class hotel with a Restaurant to match is the “ne plus ultra” of unusual luxury. Nestled in as a part of an ever ascending medieval stone hilltop village, this hotel will change your conception of picturesque, charming and captivating forever. Not only is there nothing wrong, but they do so many things so uncommonly right that it is difficult to do justice to it all. The staff is delightfully personable, helpful, attentive and capable, and are very good at taking their cue from the guests in terms of familiarity - or not - privacy - or not - and special requests. Just as an example, the head Concierge Antonio is a wonderful, playful conversationalist who will regale you with stories and discuss events if you’d like, or stick to the job particulars alone if that is your wont. The Bar, terrace and restaurant(s) overlooking the Sea afford breathtaking views no matter the weather: sunshine is, of course, preferred but whatever should happen there will be beautiful. The town itself rambles on both above and below the hotel, and a walk through its streets leads one to a great Taverna, quaint shops and a church with a tower that commands the town. Located about halfway between Nice and Monte Carlo the region provides much to do, see, taste and remember. There are a few things a traveler should be aware of. When they say this is a hilltop town, take it seriously. If one has trouble walking or with inclines, steps, stone surfaces or uses/needs handicapped facilities, this hotel will not be comfortable for you. Likewise, assumedly because in villages this old and situated thusly it can be difficult to retro-fit electric, plumbing and waste-lines, some of the rooms can be a tad quirky: one suite we had was spacious, beautifully appointed and had a spectacular terrace with a view, but had its only bathroom up a spiral staircase from the bedroom. It is unusual and swashbucklingly fun, but not for everybody! Ask when reserving about any room oddities you might have a problem with.…
we decided to go for a different room this time and got a spacious place with partial seaview. our two kids had an extrabed and a babycot. they enjoyed their time with a great babysitter again. due to the weather our stay was fantastic again.
Absolutely amazing property! The views are unbeatable but the grounds of this hotel are quite a fun adventure. Literally tours through this property are given by local Guides. Our room was fabulous! Beautiful, comfortable, breath taking view and a Jacuzzi tub ... what else could you ask for? Well let me tell you 4 restaurants! The Terrance bar is over the top, view & staff so precious! Then pick a restaurant we ate in Les Remparts which was amazing! The hotel staff are over the top attentive! Last but not least, the location is perfect between Nice & Monaco! Perfection!
