Hotel was not to the standard expected - bedroom was very small and whilst clean it was tired and needed refurbishment and upgrading - overall hotel was disappointing in its presentation and ambiance and requires upgrading to match similar hotel standards - no Spa facilities was a major shortcoming
I visited Cannes with my elderly mother and my husband for a nice weekend in Cannes…and the staff at the Radisson Blu Cannes made a huge positive different for us! My mothers walker was damaged by the airline and we feared this would ruin our weekend…but the amazing staff help us personally to fix the walker and the weekend was saved! All the way through the reception staff and guys at the door was SO helpful, serviceminded and smiling. The best front-desk staff I’ve met (and I travel 50+ days a year)…big kudos the them! The roof bar/restaurant offers a fantastic view, morning and evening, and the location is second-to-none! Although the hotel could use some renovation in the the common areas, the rooms was nice and roomy. I will for sure stay the Radisson Blu Cannes next year - at least to meet the amazing front-desk staff again…they make a difference for us as guests.…
* the hotel needs renovation, everything tired and damaged * cleanliness - with covid still around I was surprised of the level of cleanliness: everything dirty , stained dusty breathing bacteria and viruses. The cleaning staff does the very minimum, just make the bed replace towels and doesn't even empty the bins things like sanitising and wiping dust are probably allien
I had such an outstanding experience. From check-in to the bar to the rooftop breakfast. It was all phenomenal! Can’t wait to go back. My room was upgraded which was such a nice surprise. It made my trip to Cannes so memorable!
We booked our three room stay by creditcard, but since we unfortunately couldnt make it to France, we cancelled the hotel several weeks before the stay was to take place. We were told that no money would be drawn from the credit card, but were charged for 2out of three rooms. I’ve reached out the hotel several times to try and talk to them about what went wrong, but no answers. So no, couldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Still hoping that they will get back to me and solve the situation.
The hotel had a terrible smell of sewage in the hall and in other areas of the hotel, masked badly by some kind of deodorant. All of our group were put off by this. After leaving a personal bag with at the luggage deposit an object went missing. This was dealt with in a very embarrassing manner by the staff of the hotel and their suggestions to use the “find me” function on iCloud only confirmed that the Apple product was last seen when left with them. It was only for a short period of time but I regret leaving an easily accessibile bag with my luggage that contained valuable items. The staff were either very nice of generally unpleasant. Rooms a little dated and not an expected to be repeated.
On arrival we received the wrong room and had to prove which room we booked which is shocking as it should be on their system. The room was small and there was no ceiling light which made it hard to get ready for the evening. There was a bad smell of sewage in the hallways reported to reception but they must be numb to the smell, ok spa & good location. I am also a gold member with radisson and did not receive any benefits from that status and it was my cousins birthday which we didn’t get any recognition (the hotel we were previously staying at gave us complementary champagne & macaroons when we mentioned it was her birthday later in the week). Cannes is a luxury place and the hotel does not match up really surprising that it is a 4 star. When the problems were highlighted the staff at the reception laughed and rolled their eyes we did not feel like our opinion was valued. A positive was the young slim gentleman who welcomed us with a smile and helped us with our bags when we arrived and left I didn’t see his name but he was very kind! When looking at a hotel to stay at we ignored the bad reviews however now we have stayed it is clear that we made a mistake and should have listened. 2 stars because the rooftop bar was nice and had a nice view and the pool was also heated and pleasant to go to…
Amazing location, right at the city center and incredibly nice roof top restaurant. The hotel itself was not as nice as we expected, given the high prices. The "superior" room we booked felt like an entry-level standard room, small and narrow with no view at all. Also the hotel is a bit aged and has a small problem with canalisation smells here and there. Prices for dogs and cars are way off...
no chair in a superior room- balcony so tiny no room for 1 person- trapped in elevator - spa totally empty - rooftop bar no atmosphere - staff not very friendly- the hotel could need a renovation - will not be back in this hotel
No acknowledgement of Gold status, none of the privileges. First room smelled like sewage when we came back from dinner, then we got downgraded. The stench problem was known before we arrived but masked by air freshner! Very outdated rooms. Worst of all, never felt more unwelcome in any establishment ever.
