We had a quick one night here after staying at the Carlton and were worried it would seem poor after that experience however the Canopy really delivers. It is a refurbishment of the former Raddisson there. Friendly staff, great portside location, stunning views and a younger funky vibe. We liked the redesigned room and little balcony. The roof terrace was amazing- good buffet breakfast then a restaurant and cocktail bar at night. Stunning views. We tried the pool which is accessed via a tunnel off Reception into an adjacent apartment block to an indoor outdoor pool, decent enough but not exciting. Some onsite parking but it was full on arrival so we parked across the street in the port car park serving the Lerin islands ferries. Highly recommend ! Mid level price for Cannes at 300 euros pn. We shall return

Amazing stay at the brand new canopy in Cannes. I was originally booked at the JW, but after reading reviews on how terrible it has become, we decided to hop on over and try this new property out. I highly recommend this hotel. Especially the kindness of front desk “enthusiasts” Yamine and Carmen made our stay extra special! Thank you once again for an amazing and memorable stay. Breakfast great, views great!

I believe this hotel has opened in a hurry without nailing it, especially for the price. I also feel staff may not have worked in hotels previously, the service is not high not even basic. No explanation of where gym, pool, spa area is which is fairly tricky to find. The gym has no towels, water, mats, sanitiser or sanitiser wipes to wipe down equipment. I discovered that the spa isn't working yet. The pool is lovely but no service, you cannot have drinks or food. Bathroom offers no body lotion, vanity kit etc and is very very tiny, shower door almost scrapes the toilet. Sadly my room view isn't great and was $750+ Aud a night. The breakfast is OK, the view is magic from the restaurant which makes up for the simple offering. I'm sure there are other hotels which are worth the money. Restaurant was closed for a private function one of the nights

The good : Chris and the other concierges but Chris especially was brilliant with his restaurant recommendations An older blonde lady at reception : seemed very kind The spa team all brilliant The rooftop restaurant team and their manager - bless him he tried to help me with Wi-Fi issues though really front desk should have done that The bad: Inconsistent housekeeping sometimes cleaned up everything sometimes things were left but when asked did do as requested Misunderstanding or miscommunication between the hotel and BA Holidays through which we booked. Room advertised on BA as including evening tasting and a welcome gift, which we did not receive bar one attempt on one day to give us a single muffin and a bottle of juice to compensate. Despite a few attempts to resolve this with the hotel it never was and no one followed up with us proactively. Hotel kept claiming it was BA issue (we have asked BA to look into it) but considering this is a brand new hotel you’d have thought they would make more of an effort to gain customer satisfaction whoever’s ‘fault’ it was .

My wife went to look at some houses in the area and stayed over a week at this hotel and could not praise it enough. Most unusual for her! Very clean, great view from her room, nice pool and a great restaurant and for the money, a hidden gem!

We stayed in the hotel the 2nd week open. We were upgraded which was excellent. The breakfast is great, one of the best of any Hilton I have stayed in. The pool was also incredible. All of the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast staff and the cafe creme especially.

We went to spent the evening on the rooftop from the new hotel by Hilton. The restaurant manager was very rude and temperantful. Could not handle the situation proffesionally. It’s not the service we are used from Hilton…

Dropped in for a drink on the rooftop bar, and it was fab. Lovely setting, and the staff and service was exceptional. We only had a drink, a bottle of the house Rose which was lovely and reasonably priced at 40 euro for the location. The hotel has only just opened after being closed for over 18 months, so I can not comment on the food or quality of the refurbished rooms. Has the best view of the Cannes Bay and Islands beyond. I stayed here some ten years for my 50th, and hopefully may return for my 60th. We have an apartment in Cannes, so we will definitely use the rooftop bar when in town. The only negative of the refit is the cheap IKEA looking orange chairs at the entrance to the hotel, which was my first impression, and not the 5 star look they are aiming for! Alan and sharon
