We get to the room and the room was outdated, carpet stains and smelled as if someone had smoked in the room... The next morning we woke up late and promptly called the front desk and told them about our room and said we weren't going to make it to breakfast and asked if we could use the complimentary breakfast another time and they said no problem... The person working at the front desk said they would look to see if they had other rooms in the class available to change... Later in the day someone at the hotel reached out and said they had no other rooms available in our category and if we wanted to change we would have to pay an additional 300 Euro per night... All in all my stay in Cannes was pleasant but the room smelled like smoke, stained carpet and was outdated...

    This is a very average hotel that seems more geared up for conferences rathe than holiday makers... The wrong cases delivered to our room on arrival... We ended up at an adjacent beach club and paid again for beds etc... They need to work much harder to justify the premium and be more honest on their website about some of the practical disadvantages of staying here...

    I was told by a few people that I should stay at the Hotel Martinez and after my stay I would recommend somewhere else... Later in the day someone at the hotel reached out and said they had no other rooms available in our category and if we wanted to change we would have to pay an additional 300 Euro per night... When I went to check on bill a day before I checked out I noticed there were two breakfast charges which I couldn't understand why... When I came back later I asked about the charges and a different front desk person said the same thing I need to speak to a manager...

    this hotel nickel and dimes you any chance it can... this hotel should be considered a 5 star hotel except they charge for absolutely everything. you want to sit at the beach, they charge you for a beach chair, you want to use the scooter, they charge you... you want water at the front entrance because its 100 degrees outside, they charge you - the only 5 star hotel in the world that nickels and dimes like this... this is a 4 star hotel at 5 star prices...

I went to the beach club every day of my week long trip, and despite staying at the hotel, I still had to pay €63 per day for a sunbed in row 3 or 4... Row 2 was €73 and front row was even more expensive... Cabanas were €800 per day... They were even charging for a sunbed at the hotel pool in the months of July and August... I would stay again because it’s a lovely hotel and good location although I think the sunbeds are overpriced...

    ...We wanted to check out later than 12 and we were told that we couldn’t due to another couple coming, but then they told me that if I paid I would be able to stay. I then asked what’s the latest that I can check out, at first it started at 1pm but I eventually checked out at 3pm which is what I wanted... Each check-in person I went to they allowed me to check out later but with such hesitation that I felt like I was asking for a kidney... Never in any of my hotels have I had to “beg” for a later check-out... For breakfast I was given off milk, when I told the manager she didn’t acknowledge or apologise but just offered me a fresh coffee, it put me off my breakfast for the rest of my stay... The service is just slow, the staff don’t take note of the order and then the order goes to a number of tables before it reaches the correct table, never have I seen so many mistakes...

    ...I got to the hotel late Wednesday night after traveling the entire day and was told that there would be no water in the hotel from 11 pm until 5 am. The hotel never notified me before arriving and I probably would have showered before I arrived... The concierge said they would give us a complimentary breakfast for our inconvenience... The next morning we woke up late and promptly called the front desk and told them about our room and said we weren't going to make it to breakfast and asked if we could use the complimentary breakfast another time and they said no problem... The person working at the front desk said they would look to see if they had other rooms in the class available to change... Later in the day someone at the hotel reached out and said they had no other rooms available in our category and if we wanted to change we would have to pay an additional 300 Euro per night... They offered me a nominal amoint of Hyatt rewards points which didn't really appease me so they offered me another breakfast... I discussed with the front desk who said they would get back to me after they spoke to the manager... I said ok, and left for the evening when I came back to the desk a different front desk person said the same thing and then I asked to speak to the manager... He told me the manager was coming but after 15 minutes I had no patience to wait hoping they would resolve the issue before I checked out... I got up early before checking out the next day and again a new person was there would couldn't help me so I just left the hotel... No one was able to get anything done for you without manager approval which will never come... The staff seemed pleasant and looked like they were trying to accommodate but they were useless...

    this hotel nickel and dimes you any chance it can... this hotel should be considered a 5 star hotel except they charge for absolutely everything. you want to sit at the beach, they charge you for a beach chair, you want to use the scooter, they charge you... you want water at the front entrance because its 100 degrees outside, they charge you - the only 5 star hotel in the world that nickels and dimes like this...

    This was the WORST service we have ever experienced in a hotel (and we do not generally generally complain)... On two mornings (we were there three) breakfast never arrived... On one morning we waited one hour 15 minutes and asked many times if the food was coming... The waitress was incredibly unhelpful and couldn’t care... We asked to speak to a manager and we’re ignored... Waitress says it’s not her problem and she doesn’t work in the kitchen!... We even paid for our breakfast and it didn’t arrive... We paid the hotel upfront in advance through our travel agent so only the deposit card had an issue (on their side) and they treated us unacceptably... At check out I told all the issues to the check out lady and she said she would get the manager to come speak with us... Honestly this was the worst service experience I can remember and for the price we paid it’s outrageous...

At the Oasis pool we had a nice swim on a windy day and when we decided to move to the beach, the pool manager kindly helped us book the last sunbeds available...     Hotel Martinez is a synonym for luxury in Cannes. Well located in the city centre near shops and restaurants, close to the beach... Wake up early and head to the breakfast lounge, there's plenty to satisfy all picky eaters and early birds... The rooms are fully equipped, the bed itself is extremely comfy, with nice soft bedding, and the bathroom has a large tub, no separate shower...

The rooms had everything you would expect for a 5 star luxury hotel: plenty of water, comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms with luxurious finished, art, and plenty of other things... Additionally, the experience did not end there, the hotels restaurant establishments were amazing, from breakfast all the way to late night drinks/snacks at the bar... Without a doubt I would recommend Hotel Martinez who anyone searching for a luxurious and unique experience in the South of France, it was an unforgettable experience that I hope to experience once more in the future...

The view is the best in Cannes with floor to ceiling bay windows and mirrors reflecting the distant mountains and view of the ocean from across the Croisette...

The room is huge, even the basic one, and you can find all kinds of comforts, from the full mini-bar with drinks and delicious snacks to the vanity set, conditioner, and body lotion... You even find the hand cream in the common bathroom of the restaurant!... Beautiful Spa, small but relaxing, you can find tropical showers and hammam... Rich and excellent breakfast, with a huge choice of desserts, croissants, bread, fruit, vegetable, and in general salted or sweet breakfast... Very good position, you cross the street and you are directly on the seashore... 10 minutes from the heart of Cannes, but the hotel is already on the main street with shops and very good restaurants... Excellent cleanliness of the rooms and of all the facilities (Spa, meeting room...)... The room is cleaned at least 3 times a day, incredible!...

    Spent Christmas at The Martinez, an Art Deco hotel with recently refurbished rooms, which are now of a high standard and very comfortable... It has an excellent position on the Croissette with its own private beach and views across the bay to the Corniche de l'Estérel... Although we were there in winter, we were fortunate to have unseasonably warm and sunny weather which meant that we could make good use of the outside facilities...

We booked a suite night with Hyatt points and one more night in a Premium room but we were generously upgraded and got to keep the suite... This was a “real” suite with a separate living room, a big bathroom, walk in dressing room (they often call simply big rooms suites in France but was not a case at Martinez)... We were surprised by a box of delicious artisanal chocolates and a big bottle of Taittinger champagne (among my favorites)!... It’s very rare nowadays to receive such welcome gifts from a hotel, especially in a busy area of French Riviera... We had a family lunch on the Martinez beach and I also had a huge fruit plate offered as a dessert, what a wonderful gift!... We dined at La Palme D’Or on the first night which was also wonderful and had a few drinks at le Jardin... At the Oasis pool we had a nice swim on a windy day and when we decided to move to the beach, the pool manager kindly helped us book the last sunbeds available... All outlets were great, service was impeccable and food was excellent...

    ...My room was big, nicely decorated with the view of the pool. Room amenities were also good... My stay included breakfast so I enjoyed nice breakfast as well... Cheese, pastries , fruits , omelettes were tasty... As a hotel guest, if you want to use beach all day, you have to pay some extra amount... Overall, if you are looking for a safe, nice, secure solo stay and have beach holiday, Hotel Martinez is a very good option... The beach , sea is extremely good... Concierge service at the hotel is also very good... It is easily reachable by walking through the station... One last thing was I booked my reservation through Booking.com and due to hotel policy, they wanted to take extra deposit at the check in for potential use of extra services ( i didn’t use any extra service hence the amount is returned during check out)...

    We had a wonderful experience in the Martinez which hotel is getting better and better with the addition of the new swimming pool , gym and spa at the back and the option of the white sand beach across La Croisette ... Our room was superb and the cleaning was meticulous ... The food is delicious and wine is excellent and the breakfast is second to none with a variety to meet every taste and appetite ...

The hotel is very elegant but not stuffy. Every interaction in the hotel was so positive and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and cared for. The food quality is fabulous and the room was large and with a beautiful ocean view. I felt pampered even though I was there on business.

Perfect location at the luxury shopping strip. Beautiful hotel with many service staff, all very well trained - pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. Special credit must go to David at concierge. This hotel has it all- character, service, location, and the best breakfast I’ve had in Europe. Outstanding all around!!!! We had the family suite for 3 adults and it was pure luxury. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

Excellent service, as excepted from a 5-stars hotel. The only downside was getting to the hotel by car because of the work on the Croisette, it was a real challenge, it's a shame when you don't quite know how to maneuver through the roads.

Overall a very tastefully renovated hotel with attentive service but an overpriced room minibar and restaurant. Nevertheless, one of the best hotels in Cannes overall. If variaty in the breakfast selection could be improved, it would add a lot to the overall experience.

The hotel is beautiful the rooms the staff everything was absolutely perfect. Breakfast is in a beautiful refurbished room . They have a fabulous beach area .The spa and pool area are beautiful. I invited my guests to celebrate there wedding we had the most wonderful experience Flavian helped us enjoy our stay perfectly by choosing perfect rooms for us in the most professional way . From the moment you arrive in this stunning property you will enjoy a world of luxury and calm . I never want to leave . The Martinez has a wonderful team of people. I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa at the front desk . Every member of staff were charming all with a smile . Thank you for a perfect stay & see you soon .

This hotel is the embodiment of the French Riviera. Very well located right on the Bd de la Croisette, this classy hotel is well staffed with high quality service and facilities. Rooms are spacious with marble bathrooms and great views of the water.

My company held a conference at the Hotel Martinez. Beautiful property and I had a lovely junior suite with a big terrace that had views of the water, city and mountains. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Great location for walking to restaurants, shops, etc. I highly recommend the Martinez.

We had an amazing experience at this wonderful hotel. Not often does a hotel exceed expectations at so many levels. For example, the rooms were wonderful, the AC worked perfectly, lovely toiletries, comfortable beds and breakfast was a stunning experience with so much choice.
