Great rooms and staff was helpful and friendly. The beach was disappointing being across the street and service there was expensive. Room we had was amazing. Expensive food and drinks so be prepared. It’s not a great value.

Stayed there duting the Festival de Cannes. Really nice hotel, very luxurious. The staff is very friendly and kind. Their beach is really nice even though quite expensive. But it is totally worth it. We will definitely come back but not during festival de cannes since the front of the hotel was very crowded.

I would like to thank all the staff at the majestic from David the doorman Akenke the trainee at reception with a beautiful welcome smile always and so willing to help . Quentin The hotel manager whom made our stay memorable and very comfortable when we discussed an issue we had Quentin dealt with the matter and resolved for us . The hotel is in a great location the breakfast is just fabulous and if you are celebrating as we were my friends wedding there is champagne as to enjoy . We had dinner at the hotel which was excellent the waiting staff are so good in the bar restaurant breakfast just excellent service. The bedrooms are comfortable with an old charm very comfortable beds but some do need a refurbishment. The pool are is small but excellent service again . The children’s club I would say the best I have seen all the children were having the best time celebrating Halloween . Thankyou Quentin &Akene for making my friends wedding gift from me the most special stay . From Nicola Gill A huge Thankyou to all the staff at the Majestic. We stayed 2 nights. We arrived early due to the flight schedule. A lovely welcoming from the front desk. As the room was not ready, they told us to have our bfast first which was a nice gesture. The breakfast spread was solid and service was excellent too. As there is a big show in town and the hotel was running full, can see all the stuffs trying their best to provide the service. Overall, very happy stay.

It's strange that in this expensive hotel the bathroom amenities like shower gel or shampoo bear the brand "Barriere", but are actually produced in China. Read the small print. A shame for this 5 star palace!

We are 2 adults and 2 children spending 32 days in France. Cannes is the final stop. We stayed at the Barriere, booked via the AMEX Platinum program which is supposed to come with several benefits such as Free room upgrades, Dining Credits, Early Check-In, and Late check-out. Here's how things went: We filled in the pre-stay questionnaire and were clear that we were coming at 12pm for early check-in, even leaving our beautiful St Tropez hotel early to get into Cannes early. Benefit 1: Early Check-in was a disaster, took forever and we were told the room wasn't ready yet. We waited nearly 2-3 hrs for a 3pm check-in, mystified that many coming after us were able to check in before then. Benefit 2: Room upgrade - Not possible as we requested connecting rooms we were told. OK fine, how about upgrades to a room close to each other? Not possible sir, the hotel was full... Right, so it was never really possible then? Benefit 3: Dining Credit - Pass. This worked ok. So that's 2 of 3 benefits unfulfilled. They tried to offer sun lounges for free but meh. How about the rooms? We must have gotten the bottom of the barrel as ours were older than sin (think: Shower in the bathtub vibes). To make matters worse, the room across from us looked new (maybe that was what our upgrade was gonna be?). My 5 yr old asked, "Why is our room so old"? They found showering in a bath to be novel, I did not! What about the service? The Front desk was absolutely hopeless right from check-in to check-out. Every time you asked for something, you'd have to ask 3 times! Need a new key? Call 3 times. Want your bill to come so you can review it the night before? Call 3 times. Need to get someone to collect your bags? Call 3 times!!! Is this 5 star or is this Best Western? Come on, I know you're busy but I get better response times from asking my 3 year old to do something. Let's talk about some things that went right. - Kids Club - If it wasn't for the kids club, I'd probably give this place 2 stars. Thank god for Theo and the team taking the kids to the pool, activities and more. Our kids normally don't like them but they went every single day! They just loved it and I am eternally grateful for the team at Petit VIP for their kindness to our two boys. 5 stars. - Breakfast: The breakfast was solid. Great spread with good pastries for the kids, the best Omelette of our trip and also huge selection of fruits. 5 stars. - Sauna / Gym. Sauna was fantastic, gym is an 8/10 but could have used more weights and maybe a few more cardio machines. Pool was good for kids too. 4 stars. In summary, I think the service from front desk was a shocker. Be careful with selecting rooms as some are from the 80's with paint peeling on the walls. Enjoy the breakfast - it's great. If you have kids around 4-8 or so, I think they'll love it too. The gym could use more equipment but it depends what you're after. So this isn't a cheap place but it was definitely the most overpriced I've experienced in a few years. I wouldn't stay again nor recommend a friend to do so unless they had kids our age.

My family and I loved staying at the Hotel Barrière Le Majestic in Cannes. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the attentive staff. They were always there to help us, but not in an overbearing way. The hotel is located right in the heart of Cannes, just across the street from the beach and Le Croisette. We had the opportunity to enjoy all that Cannes has to offer, including the shopping, the many restaurants, and the film festival. We also took advantage of the hotel's many amenities, including the pool, the private beach, and the jetty with sun loungers. We would definitely recommend the Hotel Barrière Le Majestic to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Cannes.

The worse experience ever! - staff is doing something only if you tip them, otherwise they are rude and don’t pay attention to you. - overpriced room service. We have ordered medium burgers in the end got well done and food was cold as it was precooked. We paid for baby pasta €20 even in the menu it’s €5 and I was clear that I want baby portion. - small swimming pool, only good for babies, if you want to swim you have to go through lobby and all wet go back, which is not nice not for you not for other guests who has drinks by the pool with listening children screams. - beach is dirty, it’s disgusting to go inside the water! - kids club only from 4 years old and you can’t stay there with your child and play together, they expect you bring all toys with you as there is no other option and no playground
