Was very happy and comfortable one week vocations with my family. Especially big complement for receptionist Elizaveta. She was every day so professional and helpful for every guest she met. Hope to come back next august! Sergii
This is a fabulous property in a spectacular location in Cannes. Truly a grand hotel! Among the most elegant properties we have ever stayed. Our room - one of their standard rooms - was enormous - much more spacious than our junior suite in St. Tropez. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, the AC perfect (not too hot not too cold), the lighting regulated by a shade to block the morning sun - all of the design features are outstanding. The bathroom is large, extremely well stocked and well lite. The housekeeping was outstanding - twice daily (although sometimes the towels were soft and other times not so much). They did a very smart thing of leaving the used towels hanging AND giving us fresh towels. The concierge service was fantastic - especially before I arrived to help us to book chairs on the pontoon and lunch etc. All of the staff were very friendly and nice. All first class service. What a lovely touch to send a birthday wish and cake to me! Too bad we could not say the same about most of the clientele .... We have really never encountered such rude and misbehaved children - of all ages actually. Although a lot of the adults are rude and very demanding as well. The place is overrun by screaming kids running all over the hallways, the pool, the restaurant at lunch, even the bathrooms. It was incredible and inescapable. We had the misfortune to have a room directly next to the kids club - the noise was incredible. AND even after the kid's club closed, the nanny's allowed the kids to run up and down the hallways screaming and yelling. We imagine that it must be very difficult for the hotel and hotel staff to deal with - but it is very disturbing to be a guest under these conditions... So, I think that for this hotel to maintain their extraordinary standards, they have to find a way.…
Unfortunately we will not return due to the rude concierge who wanted to treat us like we were idiots when we asked if there was a menu we could see for the beach club. He gave us a look and then said ... No... was shocking. I'd expect friendly, helpful staff at a $1k per night resort.
I stayed at your hotel from July 19th - July 22nd. On the night of July 19th, the housekeeping staff entered my room with out my request. My "Do Not Disturb" light was illuminated while I was out, but upon my return to my room at 9pm, I noticed my room had been entered. My packing cubes were placed on my bed, and it looked like turndown service was attempted but not completed, even though I had my do not disturb light on. My suitcase was completely emptied, and I was missing $900 USD (9 $100 dollar bills of a total of 20 - $100 bills were missing) from my envelope that was in my bag. I contacted guest relations after noticing the missing funds, and was contacted by a member of their team a few hours later. I was on a very tight schedule during my stay in Cannes, and chartered a Yacht to sail to Monaco the day I contacted them, so I was unable to stop my vacation to speak with your team in person. I received a text from their team and I let them know I would be returning the next day to discuss the matter. Upon my return, I contacted their guest relations team again to discuss, but was told someone would reach out to me. Sadly, this never happened. I also called and left voicemails, and sent text messages to try and resolve this issue. Unfortunately, my attempts went unreturned. When I checked out on July 22nd, I told the front desk staff of my issue, and they said a member of guest relations would call me to discuss, but once again this never happened. This is very disappointing, given the status, price, and caliber of this establishment. To have a blatant, outright disregard of guest safety and peace of mind is absurd. I have left my official review via the survey link given. I will also contacted American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts to discuss my concerns with this property and the way things were handled. I hope this hotel does something to rectify or at least acknowledge the responsibility this situation. From the current perspective, it looks like Le Majestic only cares about profit and external value, instead of customer care and peace of mind.…
The staff are the real ones who keep this place running smoothly and allow us guests to feel comfortable and at home. The breakfast service in the morning is a absolute delight, with many options to choose from. The beach staff as well are very attentive and hard working doing their best to accommodate all guests. Special thanks to Juliette, Adrien and Rayan for making our beach experience worth while, you all deserve a raise! The staff in the hotel as well at the concierge and check in desks are also very on the ball with organizing reservations, transportations, tours and so much more. The caretakers and maids are all very friendly and always make sure to say hello when you walk by them. In general I would highly recommend this hotel but only for the style, but the amazing, dedicated, hardworking people who keep it running! - Kiera…
Excellent staff and very good food at the restaurants.. Love the gourmet coffee in the lobby bar. Fouguets is a phenomenal restaurant with amazing service and exceptional desserts . We enjoyed good service Thank you
The hotel is a nice hotel with all the mode cons, great location and very nice ambience. We booked a deluxe room and found it on the small size, the shower is in the bathtub and not separated like I would expect from such hotel (and this price) All in all, nice place.
I spent three nights in the South of France and my night at the Hotel Barriere in Cannes was my final night in this beautiful part of the world. My entire experience, from check-in to check-out was top-notch on every level. The staff were friendly, paid attention to small details, and were kind and gracious in helping me maximize my time in this wonderful city. My room was everything I imaged it would be. The hotel upgraded me to a sea view room with two balconies and a view that I couldn't get enough of. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the hotels amenities - the lounge bar, the complimentary breakfast, and the beautiful and private beach. I highly recommend a stay here and only wish I could have stayed more than one night!
Between 16 and 18 June I stayed at the Barriere Le Majestic Cannes. I booked a prestige room with direct sea view. When checking in, a girl named Fannie settled us in a corner room on the seventh floor, where there was only a small window, like a porthole, which did not open. I asked to replace the number for us, as it did not match the photo of the number according to the official website. Fannie said it was her fault and was offered a ground floor room with no sea view. My question is why are we not provided with the room category that I booked? Fannie replied that the hotel was full and there was nothing she could do. After twenty minutes of our waiting, Fannie found us another room on the sixth floor. When we entered this room, I immediately realized that it did not correspond to the category that I had booked. It was a deluxe room with partial sea view. When I told her about this, she began to convince me that this number is similar to prestige and this is the maximum that they can give us. But this deluxe room was cheaper than the one I paid for. Fannie did not want to decide this situation in favor of the client and I had to call the hotel manager. The manager resolved the issue immediately and gave a room that fully matched my booking. I spent an hour and a half on this. Also the next day, I was extremely unpleasantly surprised that the main pool and beach did not work at the hotel. Information that the pool will be closed was not available on the official website. No one warned us about this when we checked in. If I knew that the pool would not work, I would not have booked this hotel, as I arrived in Cannes for two days and wanted to relax. The third problem is the complete lack of service in the hotel. We didn't get our room ready for bed. No one came in the evening to change towels, dismantle the bed and bring water. I am also outraged that the air conditioning system did not work in my room, I called technicians who, after spending about an hour in my room, left without saying anything and without result. The air conditioner was never fixed. It was too hot to sleep in the room. I repeatedly called the reception and asked to fix the air conditioning system, they told me to wait and the technicians would come to you again. But at 23:30 they called me and said that the team of technicians was no longer at the hotel and they could not help me. At 12 midnight I was offered to spend the night in another room without things. I don't understand how air conditioning can not work in a Prestige room and no one could fix this situation. I have had a long journey. I have lived in Monaco - Hotel Metropol Monte Carlo, in St. Tropez at the Airelles Chateau de La Messardiere and wanted to end my stay at the Barriere Le Majestic, which I considered the best in Cannes. And I did not expect that I could face such a terrible service, attitude towards myself and complete disappointment.…
The hotel is very nice, well situated. It is a fantastic place and I had an amazing time there! The beach is the perfect place to relax despite a service that is sometimes quite slow. The staff is great, particularly Anais who is very pleasant, efficient and helpful. I will come again, for sure…
