Thank you for the wonderful stay we had in your hotel, with all of you. We had a very good time in Cannes not the least because of your great efforts to suggest and reserve excellent spots for us. The rooms were spacy and quiet in spite of the central location.
I just tried writing a review but realized I was not logged in so writing again just in case. Villa Garbo was just perfect and the staff is so friendly and helpful. I was traveling with my niece and my sister. It was our first time in Cannes and we wanted a nice place where we could all stay together. We were originally going to stay in a family suite at Hotel Martinez because we thought it was right on the beach. We discovered though that none of the hotels along the Croisette are actually on the beach, you still have to cross the Croisette to get to them. You also have to rent sun loungers even if you are guest. And you can rent sun loungers without being a guest. We reserved first row sun loungers from Hotel Croisette Beach (you can email them and reserve in advance) and it's a safe easy walk, just under 5 minutes. We were able to get a much nicer place (a two bedroom penthouse) with all the benefits of staying right on the beach. Villa Garbo is has a cool hip vibe. You get the benefit of staying at a boutique style hotel but instead of a small room, you get a beautiful apartment with lots of space to move around. If it's available, I would highly recommend the Penthouse. It was amazing. We got a bonus one night when there was a spectacular fireworks display from a wedding that was taking place nearby. We had the best view in the city from our own private terrace. It was spectacular. I think there are often fireworks in July and August so you might get a treat too!…
on our arrival we had been greeted by an unpleasant receptionist, she wore the mask under her nose, we asked her for explanations on the functioning of our apartment but she did not know, I think she was lost and that she was a beginner , we had found him haughty and we had the impression of boring him, then we had met a maid who also wore the mask under her nose, we feared the covid and we had not felt safe
This boutique hotel is located at the end of the main shopping street in Cannes, Rue Antibes. Johan- the manager can't do enough to ensure you have everything needed during your stay. Thanks to him and his team this has been a flawless experience - as last time around. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a smaller family owned hotel with a sentral location in Cannes.
This was our second stay at this lovely boutique hotel. Very central for Le Croissette and the main shopping, restaurant areas. Lovely room with small kitchen area. The staff were helpful and on hand for all our needs. It is a very safe place to stay as it has a gate for entry with a key fob and so no outsiders can wander in. All Covid rules were being applied and you could have your breakfast delivered to your room or sit on the terrace which was perfect in the early morning. They will organise a lounger for you and a towel at one of the many places on the beach. Thank you Johanne and all your staff for a really relaxed stay.
