Chose this hotel because of the location and the fact it had private parking. The lady who greeted us was friendly and directed us as to how to get to the parking, which although it is directly at the rear of the hotel, you have to drive around the village due to one-way streets. The room was a good size... More

We stayed 3 days at La Mere Germaine and had an absolutely lovely time. Anouk and David were fantastic hosts. The hotel is quaint and comfortable and located right in the heart of the village. The back terrace is a lovely place to sit and enjoy some of the region's fabulous wines and relax. David is not only an excellent... More

The location couldn't be better: right at the village centre, steps away from several cafes and restaurants. The spacious room (with a small single bed alcove as well) had ample storage space and views to the Provencal countryside. Bathroom was large, modern and well appointed. Staff were friendly and their help with luggage was greatly appreciated, as there is no... More

My husband & I chose this pretty restaurant for lunch in the heart of Chateauneuf. It is a warm & inviting dining room & there is a very nice courtyard for good weather. My husband chose the pork dish which included rice & vegetables & raved about it. I chose the filet of beef but mistakenly chose to have my... More

I stayed here with a small tour group - we were walking between small towns in Provence and stopping at wineries along the way. We stayed two nights in this hotel and it was fabulous! The room and the bathroom were so large for Europe!! The food in the restaurant was also very good. I highly recommend this hotel and... More

If you visit Chatneuf and want to stay for some winetasting and good food, La Mere G is a good choice. We had a room with a view (excellent) and with a nice bathroom (some details though), refurbished recently. Good beds and sleeping comfort. Air conditioned. French breakfast in the restaurant. Fairly priced. Very informal and parking just below. They... More

Lovely location on main street in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Easy walk to various caves. Very nice staff, clean rooms, good value and VERY good restaurant. If the weather is good , take your breakfast and dinner on the terrace.

We just returned from a two-week trip around France which included a two-night stay at La Mer Germaine in the village of Chateauneuf-du-Papes. What a great place! Right in the center of town but quiet and charming. Parking lot behind the hotel for guests - hard to find parking so this was a big plus. Anouk and her brother David... More
