A nice, but expensive, accommodation in Avignon, within a short walking distance of the Pope's Palace. This was my wife's favorite accommodation in terms of decor. Area around the home is run down with graffitti. Parking is a good 5 min walk to the public garage. Breakfast was a typical contental breakfast but nicely served and presented in the eating... More

We had to stay in the annexe as the main hotel was full and, as expected, it was not as good an experience as others have had there . We were in the double bedroom on the top(third) floor (110E) .It was clean, brightly decorated with good facilites ( shower, separate toilet, kitchenette with kettle etc, hair dryer, TV, AC)... The place is near all the tourist attractions, yet hidden in a quiet street. Quiet, peaceful, and charming. Due to availability, we had to get a more expensive suite. It turned out to be a great arrangement. The room was beautiful with old-world charm. We were on the top floor, so after a day of sight-seeing, we were able to... More

My husband and our 14 month old stayed at their annex property March 23-26 for 4 nights in the first floor room (in other words the second floor apartment). We really enjoyed our stay here. We were looking for an apartment more than anything and this was a great alternative as many of the more traditional apartments were not available... More

My husband and I stayed at La Banasterie during the Christmas holiday after reading the very positive reviews. The rooms are tastefully decorated and spacious and the proprietors were especially helpful in arranging restaurant reservations on Christmas Eve and Day. I usually don't go for the floral "fluff" that most B&Bs exude, but this one was very romantic and I... More

I booked our stay online. The proprietor e-mailed me back promptly with the 'annex' option for two adults and two eight year old children. Avignon is a lovely town with narrow winding streets. The taxi driver knew of the hotel immediately and took us there. A quick drive from the TGV station. The hotel's location is very nice. It is... More

Wonderful, romantic break. Set in the heart of Avignon (but far enough away from the main square to avoid crowds/ noise). Superb interiors and superb breakfast. Excellent recommendations from the proprieters regarding restaurants/ cafes etc. Cute private terrace we weren't expecting.. Just be careful if you don't have SATNAV - it was extremely diffficult to locate due to the quaint... More

A stay at this guest house is just wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about it. The location just a few steps behind the Palais des Papes is extremely good. The rooms are great, Francoise and Jean-Michel are very friendly, breakfast is excellent and their recommendations of restaurants were excellent. You should try Les 5 Sens!! I loved La Banasterie! We stayed in an annex, not the main property, so I am not sure how it compares exactly. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the room was great, the breakfast just wonderful, and the location was very convenient. I would absolutely recommend it.

We stayed at La Banasterie in early Oct. 2006 and found this ideally located charming small hotel to be a great experience and one of the favorite hotels of our trip. Chocolates in the reception area at all times, fruit and chocolates in our tastefully decorated room upon arrival, candles on the stairs and wonderful breakfasts all made this a... More
