i stayed here for 5 nights. Perfect. Location. Cleanliness of room. AC worked well. VERY comfortable bed. all of the workers at reception were very helpful and friendly. about a 10 minute walk from Center train station. the little electric bus (50 cents a ride) dtops directly in front of hotel. i give the hotel a perfect score! The restaurants in the square were good, I didnt think they were overpriced.
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this boutique hotel was during a quick two-night stay after a long week of traveling throughout Provence. It has a great location and although our room was small, we were very happy to have the extra space provided by the terrace--well worth the added expense. The room also included nice toiletries and slippers, and the staff was very helpful. The included breakfast provided plenty of offerings, including delicious croissants. We enjoyed our room's top floor corner location which had what must be the best view in the hotel. The terrace faces west overlooking the city steeples so we could hear all the church bells (silent while we slept though) and watch the sunset each evening while we sipped a bottle of wine.
We had a wonderful short break in this delightful and excellently located hotel. We would highly recommend this as a location for exploring the historic city of Avignon. The staff were all welcoming and helpful and the hotel was well maintained and clean. The breakfast for a hotel of its size was full of choice and appetising, it was regularly refreshed throughout whenever we were in the breakfast area. There was even the ability to make your own freshly squeezed orange juice which went down particularly well with myself and my wife.
This hotel is in the heart of Avignon. Our room was on the first floor, with an average size bedroom, bathroom and separate toilet. It was clean and nicely furnished. There was noise from the old floorboards creaking as people walked around, so if that bothers you, you need to be aware of it. The room had a small window which looked out onto a side street, but the room was relatively dark. It didn't matter as we were out sight seeing every day anyway. The breakfast is a varied buffet with continental and a small range of hot food. Good coffee from the machine. The most useful item was that you could boil your own eggs to how you like them. It's a good choice for staying in the city centre.
Stayed 2 nights and recommend hotel if you want to be in the center of Avignon. Very helpful staff and clean, comfortable room. Our room faced the square but the window was soundproof. Breakfast was great. Hotel with character and a great staff!
WOW!! Great helpful staff and Fabulous location in the middle of Place de L’Horlage! We spent 4 nights here! Very clean rooms and comfy beds with AC as it was 34 Celsius! Great breakfast with eggs bacon sausage and anything else you wished for! Steps to great restaurants Carre Palais restaurant with a breath taking view of the Popes Palace. Staff has great recommendations stay away from restaurants in the square especially L’Opera and the one beside hotel very rude staff and terrible food. We got the best room 505 on top floor with a lovely patio and view of the clock tower which was great for resting in the evening with a glass of wine. Ice is on 3rd floor. Separate toilet room is convenient. Everything is walking distance!! There is an amazing Crepery on the street behind hotel 3 Euro for a Chirizo cheese and tomato crepe!! And 5 Euro for Chocolate & Banana. So filling could only eat half 😜 Delicious Gelato on walk to Pont Avignon! The train station is at the end of Rue Republique where we caught the train to Arles for the Saturday market. Ubers are not available most of the time only Taxis We took a taxi to Gordes it was beautiful and worth the cost to stay as long as we wished as we missed our tour due to date mix up and glad we did! Pont Avignon is walking distance and recommended the little train for 10 Euro to take you around the town and hear the history. Monoprix grocery store is a few minutes walk for snacks and drinks. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Avignon 🥰 Thank you Baphste & Priscilia for all your help!!…
I went to Avignon for the first time and it was really great. HOTEL DE L’OROLOGE was the perfect ,ovation, being very close the most alive city area and to the extraordinary Palau’s du Papes. Parking is also easy and the exit of the underground Parking is just two minutes walking distance away. Young and professional staff welcome you at the reception. Rooms are a bit old style but clean and confortabl
I have stayed at this hotel many times and have always enjoyed my visit. It's in an excellent location central to walking everywhere in Avignon. This trip I reserved a standard room with breakfast, since costs generally have increased. The room was small but pleasant and the breakfast very good. I had a problem with the shower head in the bathroom, which couldn't be adjusted so had to stand right next to the wall to shower. Assume it was just an issue in this room (205) and will be fixed. During previous stays I found the staff to be exceptionally and uniformly friendly. This time felt some staff friendlier and more helpful than others. Nevertheless, it's a pleasant hotel and I will continue to come back and recommend it to others.
Right in the center of Avignon, just a two minute walk from the Palais des Papes and an easy 10 minute walk from the train station, this hotel was a nice find. The rooms are well appointed, including a mini bar (overpriced, of course) and coffee/tea service. The hotel breakfast buffet is about 15 euros but it's quite good. The staff is very helpful and cheerful. Just be sure that if you have any mobility issues, you notify the hotel upon booking because, although they have an elevator, some rooms are reached by taking 4-5 steps once you get off the elevator.
We enjoyed a long awaited family reunion at this lovely hotel booking 4 rooms. It was just right for us being so central with easy access to the sights, restaurants & shops. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. My room overlooked the main square but was very quiet.
