Travelers' Choice
A stay in La Mirande is an invitation to travel through the exquisite world of decorative art. Located right in the historical city center of Avignon, right behind the Popes' Palace, it accommodates a sophisticated décor, evoking an 18th century atmosphere and the sedate style of life belonging to times of old. The charm is extended to the 26 rooms with their painted panelling, drapes, parquet floors and traditional flooring.

Not only this hotel is a historic building, but each room has got its own character, the staff is extremely friendly and professional. To access the hotel by car can be very tricky and difficult, depending on the car size, as streets are very small. We tried the surprise 9 course Michelin menu at the restaurant. It was an interesting experience, but 9 course is only for very hungry people. Also unclear, who is the Michelin Star Chef? Overall a very pleasant stay and perfect location to explore the town.

Huge rooms, very charming and French. When you dream up what a French provincial room should look like well this is it! Lovely decor and very nice, helpful staff. The icing on the cake was the chef's table dinner--and not as expensive as one would think! absolutely delicious. Do not miss this spot. It is lovely. The outdoor breakfast was wonderful too although serve a bit spotty.

SO SO SO hospitable. Overwhelmingly warm. The food AMAZING - even the bar snacks are out of this world. The rooms are quaint and clean with great toiletry amenities - Guerlain. Super tricky to find - it’s like a maze but really worth it.

Stayed at the Mirande for 2 nights, nice charming hotel, good service. Might not be everyone’s tastes as the rooms are somewhat old school and could benefit from a refurbishment. That said, we loved the atmosphere and the staff. Also, the location is hard to beat. Had dinner at the okd kitchen table - a must do. Would definitely return here when back in Avignon.

This former manor house is elegantly decorated with very comfortable, well designed rooms. Located next to the Palace of the Popes, it is surprisingly quiet. The staff are gracious and food is excellent.
