We spent two nights at the Jules Cesar in May. Very good location, right on the edge of the historic center of Arles and an easy walk to all the sites, shops and restaurants. The staff was polite and the service was good, but in general not anything above and beyond what would be expected for a hotel of this...

Stayed here for 2 nights and the only positive statement I can make is the location to Arles centre. There was a feeling during our stay that conditions at the hotel are in decline! The staff appear to be unmotivated and dejected. Unusually, for hotel staff they seemed to avoid eye contact and on several occasions were seen to be...

Our room is not tiny as we thought it would be from other reviews. It is more than adequate in size and accommodation. My sister has a room across the hall which looks out on the courtyard and gardens. That is a prettier view than ours of the Funeral home store across from us but we also look down a...

Going through the revolving door gave me the sensation of entering another world. The interior of the beautiful building is decorated amazingly. I don't think I would like my home like that, but for a hotel experience it was very special. I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite when we checked in. The staff at reception provided...

We spent a very enjoyable weekend in Arles, staying at this centrally-located extremely comfortable hotel of the top M Gallery Accor network. A former convent stylishly renovated with Christian Lacroix as decorator (he is from the region), this five star hotel is much more than a boutique; it has a small outdoor pool, an elegant dining room and an absolutely...

The stay started well when we were upgraded to a superior room. This was really comfortable. The architecture of the old convent is restful. The decor is different: when it works it works well. The carpets are really great. Other bits, such as the corridors work less well. But at least it isn't boring. Service was always at the top...

This hotel is a real discovery. Once a Carmelite Convent, it is now a most charming hotel with a fantastic restaurant. The rooms are well designed, quiet and clean. And for a five star hotel (with swimming pool) you pay incredibly modest prices. The decoration may not be to everyone`s taste ( some times like the setting for an opera)...

Our group of 25 stayed in Jules Cesar for one night before our Rhone River cruise. The hotel was converted from an old convent. The rooms were stayed in were very small, even by European standard. It did not bother us since we only stayed one night. The breakfast was adequate with enough selections. The porter service was good. The...
