This campsite is quite hilly and many pitches are sloping, some significantly. If you need a flat one, for a big tent or large caravan, organise it with the site first. This is our third visit, and we have always been able to get a suitable pitch for a large caravan without booking in advance. The site is pretty, and...

We visited Chantecler 12 years ago and returned this year because we had positive memories of the relaxed vibe and excellent campsite locations. It is situated on a very green hill just outside Aix-en-Provence (about 20 minutes by bus - # 4 from Aix bus and train station and fountain, cost 1.20 per trip, 4-year-olds and younger are free) and...

A fellow traveller recommended this site to us. It is set in a beautiful location amongst the trees but the bus terminus providing transport to Aix centre is only 5minutes walk from the site. It's possible to walk into the centre but we found it too hot.The pitches are of all sizes which we selected ourselves with the trees providing...

We arrived at the campsite in May 2016 planning to stop over for 1 night and then move on, however our motorhome had other ideas, as the habitation pump chose that night to stop working, after trying to get it working again but with no success, we went to Reception and they immediately offered to ring around to see if...

We stayed at the very top camp sites in a van we had rented and were sleeping in with our 4 kids, 7,6, 4 and 2. Increadible view of Montagne Sainte-Victoire. Just breath taking. The shower facilities were clean and easy to use. We stayed at the very top site so that our kids would not be an issues to...

After driving through the hectic Cote d'Azur, staying at Camping Chantecler seemed like being in paradise. Located in a wooded park, this camp provides shade, silence and vast space for privacy. Camping is accessible for camper vans, pitches wide and comfort. The pool is clean and long enough to enjoy swimming. Not far away is the Casino supermarket that offers...

It's the second time staying here and I absolutely enjoy this place . nice pool area to relax. Most importantly, ALL staff is friendly and helpful You are also an hour or so away from other big cities to visit. The city centre of Aix-en-Provence is so close by and the city is also very nice with many street markets...

Stayed here for two nights in May and really liked it. A 10 minute bike ride from the center of Aix-en-Provence means that you can visit the city at different times of the day or evening. I found the reception to be efficient and friendly and the site quiet and calm. The site is in a mature setting and although...

My wife and i stayed at this site for four nights from 30/06/2012.Very convenient for Aix,just a short bus trip ( costing 2 euros ) to the centre. The staff on site were extremely helpfull and we were able to choose our own pitch. The site is fairly hilly, but that did not present us with any problem, although it might be difficult for...

The Airotel Chanterclerc is fairly easy to find and is sign posted on the roundabouts and slip roads coming off the A8 auto-route to the south. The site is set over a series of terraces inside a pine forest, we pitched our tent on the uppermost terrace offering fantastic views of the Provençal mountains to the north. The ground was...
