Stayed here three nights and very enyjobale - excellent location and very quiet. Hotel seems unaltered since 1920s if not earlier - added to its charm - indeed has been used as a film set. Breakfast fine, staff helpful, and reasonable.

We arrived on a late flight and didnt get in til half 12 in the morning. I had informed the hotel of this in advance and they said that it was not a problem but didn't mention any additional charge, so I thought it was free. On arrival though, there was an additional "late check in charge" of 25 euro.... More

This small hotel is extremely well-situated in the old center of Aix, but just slightly away from all of the hubbub. It's a bit old-fashioned and grandmotherly, but the room was comfortable and reasonably priced. The manager was extremely helpful in offering places to see, where to walk around, where to get dinner, and he ordered a taxi for our... More

it was just as we expected, simple but clean in a very good location in the center. after looking at nr 1, hardly any window,we could fortunately change to nr 4 upstairs, beds are good, room clean and ok, considering the price of 79 euros . breakfast is for 9 euros rather minimal.

This was the most expensive hotel I stayed in on my France trip and the worst. The receptionists were nice and friendly, but for the price, the rooms are very old fashioned and not very clean. After staying for one night, I tried canceling my second night I had booked for a couple days later for my way back up... More

It was a rare treat to stay in this classic historic hotel, with its fine architecture, romantic decor and 'old world' charm. Our room was extremely comfortable in all ways, quite beautiful, really. The Cardinal is perfectly located to explore Aix-en-Provence on foot.

The hotel is in a good area, almost across the street from the Granet Museum and very close to many restaurants, bistros, bakeries and shops. For the price, it is fine. The decor is tired looking and things could use spiffing up. Our bathroom was odd with a very low ceiling which made showering difficult. Fast Wifi. The air conditioner wasn't... More

A perfectly fine place to rest your head as you explore Aix and the rest of Provence. Clean, affordable rooms. Location is fantastic for walking to the main street and wandering around the old city. No need to pay extra for the breakfast, there are tons of places around that serve petit dejeuner.

very pleasant and comfortable place in the central part of a lively small city. Located in the 17th-18th-century part but only 5 minutes away from the heart of the medieval Aix. Excellent place to stay when visiting Aix-en-Provence
