My husband and I were in love the moment we drove up the tree lined driveway. The only disappointment was that we were only there for three nights! Each room has a perfect little terrace where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning of steaming coffee, croissants, fresh juice and yogurt. The gardens and grounds are of the most beautiful... From the moment the metal gates open automatically and you get the first glimpse of the fantastic driveway this place does not cease to amaze. It is blissfully quiet, exclusive and luxurious from the inside out. To start your day breakfast is served at a time suited to you on your private terrace! There are endless gardens, a beautiful swimming... More

We absolutely loved our stay at La Pauline! The 3 nights my husband and I spent at the historic chateau property felt like a dream. Located just 10 min away from the center of town, the stunning B&B had everything that I hoped for and more for our first stay in Aix en Provence, from the meticulously cared for grounds... More

A small inn on a large chateau property leaves you feeling like royalty. The beauty of the place matches the beauty of the views from the property. The rooms are large, comfortable and we'll appointed in the style of provence. The staff is helpful and delivers a bountiful breakfast to your door at the requested time. Aix is a 10... More

We stayed at La Pauline for the beginning of our honeymoon. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Our room had a front patio and back balcony with beautiful views of the countryside. The rooms were decorated perfectly. The bathroom and bathtub were great. The room was also spotless. The grounds of the hotel were gorgeous and we loved reading over by... More

We stayed at La Pauline for 3 nights in June. The grounds, room and breakfast are all beautiful and quintessential French countryside - exactly what we were dreaming of! That said, La Pauline lacks the welcoming, "feels like home" touch that you would expect in a B&B. Don't expect a big welcome or much attention from staff other than bare... More

We were extremely pleased that we chose La Pauline as our base for a 5 day visit to Aix. The biggest issue we had was that we spent so much time enjoying the atmosphere and surroundings of La Pauline that we did not have enough time to check out all the sights in and around Aix. I will not forget... More

Our last trip to Aix included a one night stay at the magical mansion built for napoleon's sister as a romantic tryst, as so it was for my femme and moi. This is a grand love-shack extraordinaire with our room having a splendid terrace to stretch our fatigued carcasses upon, with suitable attire-of-course. ......Towelling robes and large sunnies ,as expected. This place is amazing. I am so glad that we chose to stay outside of Aix-en-Provence instead of inside the city. This place epitomizes what Provence is all about. There are groves of olive trees. There are wonderfully manicured hedges and yards. There is a garden. There is a petanque court. The pool is beautiful with chairs for lounging. The... More

Can't imagine a better experience for an elegant, idyllic French countryside retreat with all of the details... crisp, clean, white linens, fresh flowers waiting in your room, huge, modern, marble bathrooms, and large, stunning grounds filled with flowers and perfect grassy lawns, secret gardens around every corner. Steeped in tradition, (it was once Napoleon's sister's estate) La Pauline is lovingly... More
