I love this hotel in Aix where I have stayed several times. It is centrally located, five minutes walking distance from the markets and of course the Cours Mirabeau. The room is clean with a comfortable bed, quiet and easy to bring suitcase thanks to the elevator. Just a little minus there is no electric teapot... The reception staff is... More

We enjoyed this "off-the-Cours Mirabeau" boutique hotel. The stay was so pleasant, and our front-desk host, Michel, was so helpful and amusing. It was great fun to spar in French and English with him, and he gave us great advice for traveling, dining, and sites in and around Aix. We would DEFINITELY stay at Hotel des Augustins again and again.

The bathroom facilities in our room were absolutely atrocious let alone unhygienic. The entire establishment has a down at heel atmosphere and we had to ask at the reception desk for more bread at breakfast time. We were very disappointed and would certainly not recommend this hotel.

Last day of a 10 day cycling trip. Aix is a great mid sized town and the Augustins is a great base to explore it. Staff was excellent and room clean and comfortable. Breakfast a bit pricey - but not as bad as Paris. Only negative was 5 AM noise as the street cleaners came out (and there are a... More

This lovely small hotel is located in a beautiful medieval building at the heart of old Aix. The rooms are reasonably priced and the staff is patient and helpful. You couldn't be closer the Saturday Market and you are very close to the bistros along the Cours Mirabeau. Just a few yards from the entrance is a restaurant offering Mussels... More

This hotel is right off the main tourist street of the Cours Mirabeau, and backs onto a cluster of bars, restaurants and boulangeries. Despite being in the middle, my room was quiet and I felt well separated from the city. The room itself was clean, the bed comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. The bath/shower was low for a tall... More

They stuck us up in the roof but we still loved this romantic old place. It is old and medieval on appearance but is great for hide and seek. Laura even had a snooze on the lift. It has some amazing features in the lower floors. Could do with a bar. And a nice small pool.

I booked this hotel as I was attracted by its location and old hotel charm. Overall , I was satisfied with my choice and it was very convenient with food (Paul), pharmacies , Monoprix departmental store and a great varieties of restaurants all within walking distance. It is also most convenient for visiting all the attractions in Aix town centre... More

A very warm welcome, probably part of southern hospitality, for an hotel which is as close to the city center as it gets. Rooms are small, but, hey, they all are in France. Unloading / loading luggage is sort of a complicated business, as this is a partly pedestrian zone, but we made it with the help of the owner.... More
