Stayed here on a trip to France in May 2013. Sophie is the owner's name and we stayed on the second floor of her three story home. Fantastic views of Rue VandeLoo from her balcony. Nothing spacious but filled with local atmosphere. Felt like we were locals. Highly recommend her place.

Good points : This bed and breakfast place is very well located in the historic center of Aix-en-Provence. The bus station ( Shuttle that connects you to the TGV station) and plenty of restaurants and bars are few minutes walking distance. The hotel building is ancient but very charming , well and warm decorated. The roof top patio to have...

Eventually found room through a maze of corridors. Unfriendly welcome, we thought we were in the wrong place. No towels in room. Very, very noisy during the night, due to location on busy road and where the local drinkers hang out. Got up in the morning for the breakfast we had paid for, only to find nobody was there. We...

We stayed four nights too long at this bed and breakfast. If I hadn't come with my French friend, we would have REALLY been in a bad position!! I speak enough French to get by, but their note that someone spoke my language( which is English) is FALSE! The daughter of Sophie did not speak English and no one else...

We stayed two nights at Le Petit Nid and they were by far the worst in two months of travel in France and Germany. Some fussy decoration fails to hide a basic room and promises don't eventuate in service. The first morning breakfast eventually arrived an hour after the agreed time. To avoid a repeat situation we asked for an...

It's all about location. We stayed only one night and were put up on the third floor of a rambling old house which has been badly / cheaply converted into apartments. Property prices are at a premium here so to be staying in such a great location was all it was about for us. For this, it worked well. With...

My father and I was there at June 2013, we booked a twin room for 3 nights. It's a clean room with shower and decorated very sweet. Great location in the Aix en Provence, 5-10 mins to center and around 20 mins to bus station(by walk). Sophie and her daughter are very nice; they're willing to give us travel advice....

We stayed one night at Sophie's. Our room, Cannelle, was small but comfortable and had a great bathroom. Everything looked new. It was a bit noisy but not late into the night. Breakfast is served in Sophie's kitchen. The rooftop deck offers an amazing view of the area. Sophie also owns a cute, good restaurant nearby. We had a delicious...

I was terrified I'd made a bad choice with this hotel, but it ended up being good if quirky! Firstly the location is almost impossible to find. I asked at the supermarket and it turned out to be next door. Only signage is on the buzzers for the apartments. Parking for us was 2-3 blocks away which was eur10.50 for...

I loved staying at Le Petit Nid because it felt like I had my own apartment (pied-a-terre) in a GREAT location...just next to the main squares, yet knowing that breakfast was waiting for me the next morning in a totally French kitchen provided just enough comfort to feel totally taken care of. Sophie avec famille are so nice and speak...
