#19 of 69 hotels in Aix-en-Provence
Le Concorde is a charming 3-star hotel in the center of Aix en Provence, city of art and water, located near the Cours Mirabeau, the Hôtel de Caumont, the Granet Museum, the Jeu de Paume Theater and the Palais des Congrès . All this makes the Concorde one of the most central hotels in the city. We offer rooms that are mostly quiet, at very affordable prices, some have a private balcony, some have a patio and terraces. All rooms have been renovated with a refined and relaxing decoration to welcome you in the best way. Our hotel has a private underground parking, once you have parked the car you will forget it for the duration of your stay. This is because Aix is a pretty Provençal city where you move on foot and where there are a lot of things to do: an art exhibition, a concert or just a tour among its colorful markets. Walking through the city of Cézanne you will be attracted by its magic while you lose yourself in its streets full of history or sip a drink in its sunny squares.

We stayed here one night. You cannot pull up outside because it’s a bus lane in a one way street. When coming by car, find Rue de Roy Rene and use the middle lane. Look out for two signs for the hotel showing you’re nearly there. When you spot it move into the bus lane and make a sharp turn right into the narrow archway which leads down into the underground car park, which is surprisingly roomy. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Room comfortable and charmingly refurbished. Breakfast was ok, but was let down by the supermarket quality bread and croissants. I would go,to a cafe another time. Very well placed for the town centre with many restaurants and lots to see. Try to be there for the Saturday market which closes midday. We were even offered to leave our car until 2 on the day of departure which was nice. We would definitely come here again.

I stayed in this hotel for two days and enjoyed every part of my experience. It is in walking distance from the main bus station, close to Musée Granet, to the Art Gallery of Hôtel de Caumont and Cours Mirabeau. The neighborhood is lively. My room was on the ground floor, which I recommend. It was very neat, clean and quiet. I did not pay an extra 11 euros for breakfast because I chose cafés outside. The staff was helpful. I would prefer this hotel again if I come back to Aix.

As others have said, the location is what set's this hotel apart from others, being very close to the central town with its many shops and restaurants. Our "Family" Room (Rm 2) was in a small separate and adjacent building with 3 other rooms. The tile flooring in the corridor meant each room's occupants can clearly hear neighboring occupants bringing in and taking away their luggage at all hours of the night. Although the bedroom was large, the bath had some peculiarities: no facial tissues, odd toilet paper in the form of individual small tissues in a vertical dispenser, dark interior that made shaving or putting on make-up nearly impossible, and no water glasses. The hotel lobby is very basic, offering no "business center" computer and printer for printing tickets and such (the hotel charges a small fee for prints). There is no ice machine although one could request ice from the front desk "if it is available". All in all the location made our 5 day stay acceptable but would advise looking elsewhere if a more comfortable hotel setting is desired.

I stayed here for my little solo weekend trip to Aix. Reception staff were very helpful on arrival and kindly allowed me to check into my room two hours early. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable and there was plenty of space. The hotel is perfectly located, just a couple of minutes walk away from the old town! It was ideal as a base when sightseeing and spending all day in the museums. It’s also perfect if you buy lots from the old town boutiques (inevitable!) and need to drop some stuff off halfway through the day. The bed was very comfy and the hotel was peaceful at night, I didn’t hear any road noise as others on here have described. Breakfast was your typical continental buffet with a selection of cereals, pastries, fruit, nuts, eggs, meat, cheese, tea and coffee. Everything was prepared nicely and staff were very accommodating. All in all I had a perfect stay here and would recommend to all when spending a weekend in Aix-en-Provence!

This hotel is very well located and a good value. It is in need of a little care however. The bath was in need of renovation, or at least a thorough cleaning. Stepping out of the tub was difficult as the side was very high. The toilet room was very disappointing. The front desk was less than friendly. Traffic noise was prevalent, and room walls seem to be thin. Parking is available on site at a very reasonable rate. A good place for one or two days if you are on a budget.
