Clean, pleasant staff, comfortable. Just remember that La Rochelle is a very popupar place for long weekends so it can get very crowded. If so, you must book the restaurant, or wait for the 2nd serving at 22:00. Nice long walk through the city, the port area.

We stayed in one of the split level family rooms for 3 nights and were really impressed with the hotel and its value for money. The room was fantastic, the kids had a separate room with their own tv and bathroom which they loved and upon check in they were given a bag of goodies which was a nice touch.... More

Dear EdinburghScotty, Thank you very much for this positive feedback. Just for information you have stayed in Ibis Styles and not Ibis Vieux Port. I mention it because at Ibis Vieux Port there is no gym facilities. Being in charge of both hotels I'm glad you have enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you back very soon.... More

We stayed in La Rochelle one night before taking the bus to Ile de Re. This was a good choice because it was close to the train/bus station and to the old city and to good jn expensive eats (Le Comptoir de Walter). The room was utilitarian.

We chose this hotel primarily for its location close to the things we wanted to see in La Rochelle. The room was a nice size by European hotel standards. Clean and comfortable although one pillow smelled like men's cologne. Only two bath towels in bathroom, no hand towels or washcloths. Staff was pleasant and efficient. I would stay there again.... Came here in May this year. Just as pleased with it as we were then. Only complaint would be one I've heard others say, not the friendliest of staff, unusual for Ibis. Otherwise easy to find, follow signs for the Aquarium, perfectly placed, reasonable price for the centre of such a main town and all the usual Ibis comforts. Maybe... More

Stayed here this august. I can say it is a typical Ibis hotel, the beds are very comfortable. We had a 3 beds room, number 302. The room is quite spacious, the bathroom as well. Breakfast is 10 euros per person, didn t take it. There are plenty of brasseries around where u can have cheaper breakfast and a better... More

Brilliant location!!! It Was easy to book over Internet. We were a family of 5 which was made up of 3 kids under 7 and two adults. Had to book two rooms. This Ibis is in a converted church. The location is terrific. It is on a quiet square, right on the quieter side of the marina.
