Situated on the promenade of La Rochelle this little hotel provides the perfect base for exploring the town. The reception and tiny breakfast room are on the first floor, our bedroom was on the second and it was a relief that we weren't on the third. We had a 'sea view' room which was small but adequate - not much... More

Hotel right on the harbour and overlooking lots of restaurants, Fascinating city with sea-going history, Only 2 rooms per floor and a flight of stairs to reach reception then 2 more double flights of stairs to our room. The room itself was lovely and we could pop in and out as we wanted. No toiletries. Some restaurants encouraged you to... More

We booked last minute but on arrival the room we booked with harbour view wasn't available, they had obviously sold it without checking their online booking. As it happened this wasn't a problem as we spent the whole evening in La Rochelle and so the view would have been wasted! Fantastic location with parking very close by. Room was clean... More

Location wise, you couldn't ask for better. Situated along the waterfront above a number of restaurants to choose from. Powerful shower, lovely view, though you need to request a room high up to see above the trees. This does mean that you will have more stairs to carry your bags up, but it's worth it. Parking nearby is easy to... More

We spent two nights and found a wonderfully warm proprietaire who gave us great advice for our travels. We loved the location, looking out on the old port. Breakfast was better for the price than we usually have in France. The hotel could use a little refresh and is rough on aging knees, without elevator. But the location, view and... More

A last minute booking late September we got a small but lovely room with sea/harbour views looking out over the floodlit towers. Very convenient to the town centre, but we had to park our car on the other side of town, but only a 10 minute walk away. Woken up by the sound of the recycling bins being moved at... More

The hotel is perfectly positioned on the waterfront in the heart of La Rochelle. We had a superb view of the harbour from our room. There were constant sounds of entertainers, diners etc below our window, but the shutters completely blocked out all noise when closed. The lady at reception was ever so friendly and helpful. The hotel is a... More

5 Adults staying in 2 rooms at a very reasonable price in late July with views of the harbour. Wow! Rooms are clean with excellent A/C and soundproof windows. Both rooms at front but no noise made it through the windows! Very helpful Staff who directed us to somewhere to print a boarding pass, the nearest car park ( Parking... More

this has to be in the best location. We had a quiet room at the back of the hotel. Very friendly staff, clean room. Small but effective shower. Typical French breakfast and close to lots of great restaurants. Port area was fun and near Aquarium. Take a yellow boat to the beach at La Minims for only 3 or 4... More
