The hotel was totaly dusty and old. With a lot of cats everywhere. In the garden on the stairs. Luckely not in the rooms. The owner hardly spoke english and the room was hundred years out of date. The wifi was good. The only thing that worked,

With a bit more care and attention to detail it could be very good, great looking building with lots of history the smaller rooms are small but are clean with comfy beds. Stayed here in a group of 19 people for one night and had a fairly decent meal, breakfast was OK but not a lot of space to get...

We arrived to this hotel, it was a very hot day, so we unpacked and went to the outdoor pool which was small but clean. Our room was large but very stuffy. We opened the windows but through out our stay we had a horrible smell in the room. In fact when we arrived I thought perhaps they hadn't finished...

Very disappointing accommodation that is tired and well past its best before date. You know something is wrong when you see dying pot plants in the central hallway on your way to the room. THe location is great- quiet, large and a swimming pool ( which we didn't use) , and you can tell that once upon a time this...

Travelling from Barcelona to Calais this was an overnight stop booked on the strength of location, restaurant reviews, pool and the bar with terrace. The restaurant doesn't open Sundays, the bar shuts when the single member of staff clocks off at 7pm. Nothing close by open on a Sunday either. Fortunately we managed an hour with the bar and then...

Over the years I have stayed in this hotel many times. The overall standard of food, service and accomodation remains quite high but I do think that it has lost some of the 'buzz' that it had under the previous ownership. Being in the second half of July, I was a little surprised to see how few diners there were...

We booked through the tourist office and they only had one room. Unfortunately we found it was on the top floor, basically under the roof. Not comfortable and tiny window. Good job there wasn't a fire (we would never have got out)!!! On arrival there was no-one on reception, we had to wait. After a quick look around the area,...

Great hotel, great food, lovely staff. Stayed here during the Cognac Blues Festival and only had a short walk to the venue. Domaine Du Breuil is quintessentially a charming French hotel. Dinner on the terrace was superb with excellent service delivered by 'Ewan' and team. The size of the room was adequate and had a fantastic view over the hotel...

We returned to this hotel having had a fabulous time in June 2008, today it is not a patch on eight years ago. It would appear that it must have changed hands as the well kept grounds are tatty to say the least and the place had an air of being run on a shoe-string. There was a distinct lack...

We stayed one night in that beautiful castle. Room was quite small, but that doesn't matter. The hotel and room was very clean. Food in restaurant was more than good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Absolutely value for money! We can recommend.
