Stayed for one night as we drove through France. A warm welcome from the owner who speaks very good English and can offer lots of advice on restaurants, parking in Laon, where to buy petrol and so on. The bedrooms were comfortable, the breakfast simple (but who cannot enjoy fresh croissants and baguettes?) with coffee and yogurts if wanted. This... More

The bedrooms and bathrooms are outdated, shabby and need a bit of TLC. After our last two wonderful experiences (in Kembs and La Gorgue) these came as a shock. The attention to details is not there. In our bathroom, the toilet flush was fixed with a temporary pipe and the basin was tiny and very unpractical to use. There was... More

Very sorry for your disappointments, but I don' understand : one example you said "no hook for towels /clothes" but each room has a cupboard with hangers inside and each bath room has on the heater special hooks to hang the towels. And the last remarks : why dind't you tell your points ??? and why did you stay 3... More

We stayed for one night and had a large room at the top of the house, in the loft. Bed was comfortable and plenty of room. Outside space was good, with swimming pool (we did not use it though) and a lake in the grounds. Breakfast was very tasty. the only down-side to the stay was actually finding the way... More

Thank you for your appreciation and your stay. The non easy entry by the main gate is to avoid for safety reasons: narrow road, cars driving fast in this road, narrow gate, and it's why we ask the guests to use another way for join us and the house. More

Our host was very friendly, and his English put our French to shame. Our room in the main house was, however, very dated and quite shabby. Definitely in need of redecoration and a new shower-room, which was not much larger than that found in a caravan. Very nice breakfast, and plenty of on-site parking. We had the impression that taking... More

We stayed in the larger of the two gites at the end of July 2013. It was clean, comfortable and felt homely. All five of us thought that the beds, at first inspection, were on the hard side - then all of us agreed that we slept better than we did at home; like logs! The fishing in the lake... More

Stayed here in September 2013 in the large gite. This is our second stay in the gite. The gite is open plan on the ground floor, having comfy sofas, large wood burning stove, kitchen and downstairs toilet and utility room. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The gite is very comfortable and clean. If you love fishing there... More

Had difficulty finding the entrance - the main gate in Rue St Martin was locked as due to poor visibility getting in & out & there were no signs directing us to the back lane. Fortunaltely the owner spoke good English & explained that [contrary to their website] there was nowhere to eat in the village & we had to... More

The host was friendly and helpful and speaks English. Rooms are pleasant and adequately appointed. For us this was a good location being on the outskirts of Laon (we wanted to visit the old town) and on the way to the slopes. Although we enjoyed our stay, we had some small issues in that the place was not completely clean,... More

I stayed here recently for just one night. The place is absolutely beautiful. We had two rooms with two bathrooms. The beds were wonderful, the furnishings were attractive and comfortable. The owners were very helpful, especially suggesting accommodations for the elderly person we were traveling with. Breakfast was included in the price and it was wonderful--beautiful silver service in a... More
