I think this will be a very nice place to stay, but the owners at present seem to have little experience since I think they just took over the management of the hotel. When we arrived, they hadn't had their gas delivery so there was NO heat (in February). It came on after a couple of hours. The breakfast was...

Very pleasant old grand house and grounds converted into a series of hotel apartments. Rooms are very comfortable with excellent facilities and great staff. Clean and classily furnished. Breakfast is good quality and they pride themselves on locally sources and organic produce. Large on site car park. For the price, very difficult to fault

We stayed one night while driving from Paris to the Dordogne. The room was very spacious and clean. The owner was on the premise and spoke English. Suggested a great little resturaunt down the street, which had excellent food.

We did not know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. Lovely rooms, great host and quiet location. Local restaurant for dinner and breakfast on site. Lots to see locally and great wine is everywhere.

We found the hotel to be a delight, very friendly, lovely grounds, great for children with outdoor trampoline, swingball, indoor table tennis and table football to occupy them! Great family rooms with 2 single beds connecting to a room with a large double and single bed, ideal for our family of 5! What made the stay even better was the...

We couldn't believe how nice this hotel was. We booked a family suite with two adjoining rooms and had everything we needed. The rooms themselves were sizeable but there was also a large sitting area/lounge outside the rooms with a good collection of books. Also a kitchen for communal use with fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, crockery and cutlery etc. Outside...

We booked 3 nights in le Chai de la Paleine with my Irish husband in order to make him discover the region (I'm french and I know how much this is a great place to visit). The minute we arrived in the hotel, we were really pleasantly surprise by the owner who is very helpful and friendly. We have got...

A wonderful little hotel with a lot of character and unique offerings in a rural setting. The experience of staying in a old, converted vineyard is definitely something you should enjoy. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. My recommendation is to avoid arriving too late. Our flight was delayed into Paris and we didn't make it to Le Puy...

Le Puy Notre Dame is a nice little town not far from Saumur. The hotel was converted from an old winery press building. The rooms upstairs were very large, with a wonderful lounge and kitchen common area. Air conditioning worked well, especially with the heat wave. The owners live in a small chateau across the lane, grounds were very pleasant....

“The star viewing pods looked interesting although would only do with a couple, not children in tow. The hotel area also looked very quiet and well appointed, not too many rooms. I think anywhere would be a good bet for a good nights sleep and quiet time.”

“I think all the rooms in this hotel would be good, but we only stayed in one of them. If ours was typical then anyone staying there would be fine.”
