Just before the start of the Easter break we visited Saumur. My wife found this unusual accommodation on the internet. What a fantastic break, the B&B is just outside Saumur but within a short car journey to some of the fabulous Loire valley sights. It is exceptionally comfortable and the owner is more than helpful to assist with your stay.... More

After falling of my bike on the 'La Loire a Velo' route, camping was not an option anymore. At 19.00 we walked to the nearest B&B asking if we could stay. We were welcomed by the very friendly owners, and were (luckily) able to stay in a room which was still free. It turned out to be the best B&B... More

First trip touring France and could not have chosen a nicer, friendlier, more welcoming familiy with a superb situation and glorious building. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Food is brilliant. Your hosts will look after you like family. Rooms are huge. Facilities excellent. Very clean. We will return. Christina and Guy

This is a gem of a place which we are congratulating ourselves on finding. We stayed last night as an overnight stop on our way back from a skiing holiday and were thrilled when we arrived to be greeted by the charming friendly and informative Christian plus the two dogs! We stayed in the ground floor room of this teeny... More

We booked here as we cycled through the Loire Valley. Wow, amazing! This place is stunning to look at, the rooms, furnishings, everything was authentic. The restaurant was inside one of the caves. Lovely place to stop, very friendly owner. Well recommended.

We spent a night there. The owner is very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. We slept in a huge room with a big bathroom in a tower going back to the 15th century. The stair case is worth a visit. The breakfast was served in a "cave" mancarved in this troglodyte village (hundreds of them in the region)superb breakfast as well.... More

You won't find a warmer welcome or kinder, more helpful hosts than at the Petit Hureau. We stayed almost three weeks - couldn't tear ourselves away - in the Garden Room, which has the convenience of a small second bedroom between main bedroom and bathroom. For a short stay, you may prefer any of the more spacious three rooms in... More

After a long journey, leaving behind terrible accommodation, we were in the car at night, desperate for a place that night. We called one B&B to be told they were full. However, they suggested we call Le Petit Hureau. We could not have been happier. Beautiful everything. To add to all of this Christian goes way beyond the call of... More
