Very nice hotel, not on the cheap side but worth the money. The rooms are very need,if you choose a room with ocean view you will not regret. Bar and restaurant are really good. The only minus is the parking situation, there are only a few parking spots available at the hotel and you have to pay for. If you do not get an parking spot at the hotel you have to park wherever you find a spot on the roads nearby!

We had dinner here on New Year’s Eve. The food was quite delicious, with a fixed menu (see picture). I was especially impressed with how they showcased the high quality of the vegetables in their dishes. The one thing that was missing was music to create a joyful, NYE celebratory vibe, but they don’t promote themselves or this dinner as one of entertainment so that’s on me. I would not come here expecting a casual “eat and drink with friends all night long” type of atmosphere. No large groups here. More on the quiet, very low key side. The food and suggested wine pairings were both well executed. [IG @sipsavorslay]

Stayed here over 5 nights as an Autumn break and were fortunate with the weather and fortunate with our choice of hotel as we really enjoyed our stay here. We asked for a room on an upper floor and a sea view and that’s what we got when we arrived, worth the extra cost for the view as it was very pleasant. The room was a good size, big telly on the wall if that’s what you want, decent bathroom, large comfy bed, wardrobe ok (could do with a few more hangers) brewing facilities but let down by the paper cups that were provided instead of a proper cup or mug ( a really poor do that we thought so borrowed two cups out of the restaurant) Breakfast was ok though a bit scarce if you were down after 9.30 on a couple of our days ( well we were on holiday). We had dinner in the hotel on two occasions and both were well presented, service was super and the food tasted good. All the staff were very good, in particular all the reception staff we dealt with were excellent. We had one problem with the bathroom drainage and it was sorted immediately with no hassle to us at all. We did book a place in the car park which was well worth it, certainly if you were to go in high season it’s a must in our view. The car park isn’t the biggest and is a bit tight if all the spaces are filled by 4x4 types but it’s still worth it. The verdict, nice hotel, good location, worth the money in our view, would we go again, it’s a yes from us.

It was a nice stay. it was a very good Location. The dinner was excelent. The breakfast was only average (for a hotel of this Level too poor). The rooms were very smal. The view to the sea was perfect.

All the personnel we came into contact with were helpful, professional and friendly. Service is really what it takes to make an okay stay into a good stay and the team at La Baule whether in restaurant, reception or house keeping were great.
