Booked through booking.com as it was good value for one night. Location is in a pretty square in the centre of Rouen. The hotel is small with dining area for breakfast in reception area. Nicely decorated with lots of paintings by owners wife on the walls, lovely jazz numbers playing when we checked in and at breakfast. The owner Herve...

Reasonably priced, clean and well located, our accommodations reflected the history of Trip Advisor suggestions. Our towels were new, large and fluffy, our mattress brand new and our bathroom updated with a lovely large tub. Breakfast was also good, convenient and a good value and our host was incredibly kind and helpful. He is not always on premises but never...

The hotel rooms are well decorated, with the painted sky on the ceiling a nice touch (my daughter thought it was great). We were in a three-bed room on the second floor, and while it was a bit cozy, there was still enough space for us. You can't beat the location, either -- it's very central in Rouen. We used...

We recently stayed 1 night at this Hotel after struggling to find accommodation through the Tourist Information Centre. The owner speaks good English and allowed us to look at 2 rooms before choosing. The smaller one at the back of the hotel was extremely small so we chose the larger one at the front. Nice view of the square. We...

Came here for work. Very charming hotel, well located in the center, next to a nice public square. Liked the decorative style of the hotel (warm colours, oil landscape paintings and historic photos), which seemed suited to the historic building and not fake or trying too hard. Rooms were nicer than needed to be with a huge bathtub and not...

This is not your usual hotel. There's more than a sense of faded glory about it, which some have described as charming. It does have a certain feel from a bygone age but there is a downside to this. Everything is very worn and could do with deep cleaning, refreshing...or better still, refurbishing. All four of us got up with...

We stayed here for only one night whilst touring Normandy, booking two rooms. Hotel des Carmes is located in a wonderful city centre position very close to the cathedral, shops and restaurants. For our stay our room was in the chambres d'hôtes positioned on the first floor of another building across the square, a few meters away from the main...

Stayed here for 2 nights on touring trip in northern France. It is situated very close to the cathedral in a busy square with many restaurants and cafes near by. Parking is difficult, but we did manage to park on the square and fed the meter during the day ( Herve, the proprietor helped us with this). Parking is free...

This hotel is in an excellent location in an attractive square close to the Cathedral, the Grand Horloge and the shops in Rouen. As soon as we arrived we were made extremely welcome and the owner continued to look after us very attentively during our stay, finding us umbrellas to go out in the rain and recommending places to eat...

Set in the centre of Rouen. Very dog friendly. Lovely, bright, spacious first floor room, No.1. Big opening windows to the front to sit and view the street. 1 double and 1 single bed, TV, desk, no kettle (but brought our own). Nice, clean bathroom with a clever shower enclosure over the bath. Extra blankets in cupboard space; radiator, phone,...
