Loved our stay at Le Vieux Carre. It was clean, comfortable and full of character! Our bedroom and bathroom were quite small but fine for a one or two night stay. Very nice breakfast although not included in price. Remember the code to get in the main gate after hours. We forgot ours, but luckily we're able to reach someone... More

Fabulous location for strolling to major attractions. Short taxi ride from train station. No elevator at the hotel of course, given the age of the building, but staff carried our luggage up to the room (and back down when we left). The staff were also able to recommend 'vegetarian friendly' restaurants. If you are planning to rent a car to... More

Having had Rouen as our target stop on the way back from southern France. We were greeted by a lovely quaint courtyard bustling with guests dining on afternoon tea amidst oldy worldy French decor. Pleasant staff and a warm reception. The disappointment was the room facilities. Dated and very very basic. The shower in room 12 was a mere trickle... More

First impressions are great - a lovely courtyard for tea or drinks, nice breakfast area and friendly welcome. The room (triple) was OK, but with windows open at night (no aircon) it was noisy at night (city centre location). Breakfast was lovely, delicious yoghurts and bread. Wifi very flaky. This is a nice hotel, we'd probably stay again and good... More

An overnight stay in this small hotel with a half-timbered courtyard. A relaxed breakfast area for our continental breakfast. On a Saturday night, noisy outside street in the early hours, resolved by closing windows, however not a good option on a warm summer's night. The hotel provided a discounted voucher for overnight car parking - a 5 minute walk away... More

Very central, pretty, friendly helpful welcome, room basic but clean, bed comfy, wifi fine on first floor. Weather hot during our stay so window over courtyard had to stay open with much smoke wafting up from courtyard below from both diners and staff.

Rouen is one of my favorite cities in France. The perfect size and so much to do. I used to stay at another cute little hotel but last time I visited Rouen I saw this one by chance and decided to try it the next time. I am now converted as Le Vieux Carré is even better. It is closer... More

Nice atmosphere in this hotel. Friendly staff. Great backyard where you can enjoy a drink. The rooms are clean. WiFi is however quite bad. I also missed power outlets to charge my mobilephone. We had window open during night because of no air-condition. There was some noise from outside because of drunk youths . But, the hotel is situated perfectly... More

Once you've managed to find the place and park successfully you'll find a fantastically quirky little place full of charm and character. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was the best we had during our 2 week travelling around France. The room was small and basic, which for us for a 1 night stay was fine, but if you're... A lovely little place in the centre of the old town. It has a pleasant courtyard, where drinks and snacks can be enjoyed, and there is a café inside as well. Our room was a bit basic and studenty, but the bathroom was fine and had all that we wanted and we both slept well. Front door to the street... More
