We spent two wonderful days based at Moulin de Hard exploring Bayeux and the landing beaches and war graves. Our hostess Helene was very welcoming and showed us to a fantastic bedroom suite. The Mill House has been painstakingly restored to an exceptionally high standard. We were given details of local events and shown around the spacious house. Breakfast was... More

Overall great experience. Owner was very friendly. She barley spoke English but was able to still communicate. It's a 20 euros taxi to town each way. Wifi was fast and the rooms are much different than any hotel. She has sheep and horses out front. It's definitely a farm which we greatly enjoyed. I highly recommend.

A true bit of country France. Rooms were large and inviting. Farm was an old mill that Helene has redone into a B&b totally updated without losing the charm of the old world: a joy to experience. Not to be out done.

A beautiful B&B style farmhouse with a small number of rooms for couples or, in our case, a couple traveling with children. We appreciated the two-bedroom suite so our grandson could have his private space. Helene is a warm and welcoming hostess. The breakfasts are lovely -- croissants and different breads and jam, fruit, and sometimes a freshly baked fruit... More

The absolute best B&B experience. Wonderful location convenient to Bayeux and the Normandy coast but completely isolated for a relaxed atmosphere. The guest rooms are large and the bed dreamy comfortable. Madame is most charming and engaging. She is also an excellent cook providing a superb breakfast. Everywhere you turn in this gracious home, there are the most wonderful items.... More

Helene has created the perfect B & B just a few miles from downtown Bayeux. The home is charming surrounded by streams and ponds. As we drove in horses were grazing in the grassy field along the driveway. The rooms were large. The kitchen-where our breakfast was served--was large and charming and the food was to die for. You will... More

Hard to imagine there's a better B&B in Normandy, really! A perfect repurposing of an old French mill into a B&B. An absolutely lovely host, Helene. You can walk the immaculately kept grounds, feed the horses, sheep...a perfect setting for rest and relaxation after a full day touring Normandy. As a family of four, we stayed in the Red room... This is a place to never forget! A charming owner, a wonderful room, a great breakfast, and all in a beautiful home setting, with horses, sheep, a stream,: magical! Don't hesitate to book. It was the perfect, close spot to drive to the Normandy beaches and Mont San Michel. We came back to our wonderful home each of the three... More

An old mill that has been transformed by it's owners into guest lodging. Flowing streams you can hear from your room. Lush with flowers you can enjoy from your swing back chair. Breakfast is homemade yogurt and preserves, among croissants, etc. Horses in the fields......Our hostess very gracious. Hate to let this secret out.

We absolutely loved this place, probably our favorite spot during our vacation in France! Madame Fichot does a beautiful job hosting her amazing home - very welcoming, and super clean! The scenery at this location was breathtaking! Madame Fichot's breakfast was super cozy and SUPER delicious - we absolutely loved it! The only regret was that we were not able... More
