Perfect location to experience the Normandy beaches and surrounding area. Charming hosts and lovely breakfast and room. Easy access to tourist sites, especially the Bayeux Tapestry. Easy trip to Mont St. Michel and St.Malo as well as Giverny and Caen.

The moment we walked into the house, Carole made us feel as though we were dear friends and not only guests in her lovely home. She has thought of everyday detail to make the stay comfortable and encourages the feeling of being at home. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, she has a wealth of local information and is very willing... More

Carole and Jerome are kind, attentive and hospitable hosts who will do everything possible to help you make the most of Bayeux and the surrounding area. Perfect for Normandy battlefields and a pleasant stroll from the centre, restaurants etc. My room was spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. There is a gorgeous sitting room for guests, wi-fi is excellent... More

What a wonderful B&B! They have two rooms, and we selected the larger of the two. King size bed in a large room with windows looking over their very well maintained back yard (a great place to sit with a glass of wine). A quiet place, but still only a short walk to several excellent restaurants. We requested and followed... More

My husband and I stayed three nights at Clos de Bellafontaine recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners of the recently refurbished bed and breakfast, Carole and Jerome, were very welcoming and gracious. The house was absolutely charming, beautifully decorated, spotless and large. Our room was on the top floor (3rd ) along with a sitting area and our... More

Our every need was met by our gracious hostess Carole, from directions, making reservations, to providing hints for an easier journey. We had a wonderful start to each day with the glorious breakfast feast she provided in a lovely dining room. We were able to relax, view Normandy films, and visit with our traveling companions in the private and cozy... More

Beautiful bed and breakfast in the heart of Bayeux just a few blocks from where you meet for tours of Normandy served by several tour companies. This B and B is charming, well appointed, well maintained, and great service from Carole. A short walk from the train station if you are coming from Paris on the train.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay at Clos de Bellefontaine. Carole provided us with excellent hospitality, useful tips and information. The breakfast was exceptional - regional and delicious homemade specialties! The house is tastefully decorated as a traditional French country home. There is a large lovely terrace and a separate lounge for guests with complimentary snacks and drinks.

just a brilliant relaxing place...this is why you stay away from the big name hotels...you feel more like a local...carole is a great host with a wondeful property...in a quiet part of town but still close enough to walk into bayeux...the breakfast each day was a marvel to behold...simply spoiled us...

This is effectively a 5 star boutique hotel without the 24 hour room service. Beautiful house right in the centre, 5 mins walk from everything. Lovely large room, with its own large bathroom on same floor. Immaculately clean, stylishly designed. Sitting room downstairs with teas and coffees as well as drinks. Breakfast is a gourmet experience, with home made everything.... More
