We stayed at Le Petit Matin for a short visit in June and I'd highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area. The house is charming, the rooms are comfortable, and Pascal is a great host. Every recommendation he gave was great, including places to explore and places for lunch and dinner. You will not be disappointed.

I stayed here 2 nights. The rooms are spacious , clean and very comfortable. The owners are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is usually cheese, fruit, yogurt and a cake . If you come in by train walk to the Cathedral and take the first street on the right , then walk through the park and you will see Le... More

What a lovely place. The location was great near to all of the sights. The owners were very helpful and recommended restaurants for the evening and in the morning asked where you were off to and gave directions. The breakfast was lovely we had rhubarb cake and chocolate mousse and quiche plus the usual cereals and fruit and coffee. The room... More

We stayed three nights at Le Petit Matin while visiting the area. Everything was perfect, from our room on the garden in this beautiful old house, to a great breakfast with lots of delicious options, to our helpful host Pascal (you can trust his recommendations completely)! We stayed in the violet room, which was much nicer than I imagined from... More

My wife, college-age children and I recently stayed with Pascal at Le Petit Matin in two rooms. The rooms were nicely furnished with very nice en suite bathrooms and comfortable bedding, but I'd would have to echo other commenters that the highlight of our stay (I should say, highlights) were the wonderful breakfasts that were served with pleasant conversation and... We spent 4 nights staying with Pascal in his beautiful home overlooking a large park. The room was large and very comfortable with a quality en suite. The breakfast was filling with home made jams and a new cake offered each morning. The house was a short walk to the centre of the town and Pascal recommended several restaurants where... More

My family of 6 stayed at Le Petit Matin for two nights this past August. The owner was very welcoming and provided excellent suggestions/advice for restaurants and tourist attractions. The B&B is in a great location. Our tour we booked for Juno Beach picked us right up from the hotel. It is also excellent walking distance to shops/restaurants/market/historic buildings. The... I cannot say enough about Pascal, the proprietor of this charming hotel/bed and breakfast. He was warm and gracious and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The location is perfect for exploring the Normandy area and the town of Bayeux. If your traveling here for the WW II Normandy Beaches and museums or just looking for... More

The service was excellent and Pascal a wonderful host, happy to help with dining suggestions and places to visit. Breakfast was excellent much to choose from and all beautifully prepared and presented. The room was large, comfortable and scrupulously clean as was the ensuite bathroom. The beautiful house is very well placed for visiting Bayeux and many other areas

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our House This is the second adventure for our Bed and Breakfast 'Le Petit Matin' in this beautiful town of Bayeux. Originally located on 'rue Quincangrogne' for 8 years, we decided to move to our new home that offers more spacious and comfortable guest rooms. Located in the heart of the historic town of Bayeux, on the 'Place Charles de Gaulle' planted with 150 lime trees and classified a 'Natural Monument' in 1932, 'Le Petit Matin' welcomes you warmly. For us, morning is an important time of the day (hence the name of our bed and breakfast!), Too often sacrificed. We therefore wanted to ensure our guests experienced a truly memorable moment, full of tranquillity and authenticity, around a hearty breakfast in the beautiful and completely renovated building dating back to the late 17th and 18th centuries. The house is located next to the old Bayeux porcelain factory which has been run by three successive families (Langlois, Gosse and Morlent). We offer four guest rooms; each carefully decorated and personalized on the 1st floor of our house. We have attached particular importance to comfort, decoration and to our garden. Dates available on August, September and October directly on our website. ... more   less
