This hotel is a restful haven on the outskirts of Bayeux- a 15/20 minute walk. It's beauty is the in the buildings and the outdoor space with lake, swans and ducks, trees and beauty. The room we had was for a family with both upstairs and down facing the beauty of the peaceful environment. The restaurant was closed for the... More

When we first arrived I was a little disappointed that we weren't closer to the city center. But after a couple of days I realized it was easy to get into town and the chateau was well worth a long walk or a short drive. The chateau is on a very large property with a pond and an area to... More

The hotel is stunning and the pond / lake is fabulous. When we were there in July 2016 the black swans had signets. There was also a lot of other water birds, however this did mean the grass was full of bird poo! We went for the Duplex apartment which had a comfortable bed but the top floor was a... More

If you want a hotel that gives you a beautiful setting and historic building just outside of Bayeux come here. The hotel is just off the Bayeux ring road, but you wouldn't know it. It has a peaceful garden with canal type lake full of different water fowl, and types of duck we haven't seen before. The hotel has a... More

At the end of a long bike ride from Caen , we were met with an oasis of gardens, pools and a beautiful chateau. The rooms were beautiful spacious and quiet. Except for the swans fighting at 6 am , a first for me. The staff was superb as were the meals . When visiting Bayeux , stay just outside... More

What a wonderful entrance to the best accomodation that we've had. The garden with lake and swans and then to be escorted to our duplex away from main building but wonderful. Upstairs and downstairs, kids had their own area and beds up, we were down below. 2 bathrooms, one with sunken bath the other a great shower. Decided to eat... More

We only had the chance to stay one evening at the chateau as our itinerary was full but we would love to return to truly enjoy the accommodations. The surrounding area seemed very safe. The train drop off was very close to the hotel. You do not really need a driver as it is walking distance from the train station. We... More

We stayed in a duplex suite in the barn conversion, three floors in upside down setting. Comfortable and clean, nice bathroom. Railway station a short walk away but no real train noise. The hotel itself was charming as were the staff. Approx. 15 minute walk into town, which was lovely but largely shut for three days. Went with friends, we... More

We stayed 2 nights while cycling through Normandy. The grounds were gorgeous, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and inviting. Breakfast was good, with lots of coffee selections! A small pond on the premises and lovely gardens were inviting to the local swans, ducks, other wildlife. Overall, a relaxing, quiet and welcoming hotel.

We had a group of 7 and we stayed in the building separate from the main building. The property was quiet and lovely. It was a short walk into town. I had read some unfavorable posts online. I did not see any issues. It was unusual to have the commode and shower in different locations but this did not cause... More
