Location and Access – The hotel is only a few steps away from the main SNCF/Eurostar Lille Europe station with fast connections to London and the whole of France and elsewhere in Europe. For example, direct services to Paris, Bordeaux and Marseille. I arrived mid to late evening and discovered that there appeared to be few dining or shopping opportunities in the vicinity although during the day there is a nearby shopping centre. Lille Europe Station (for all its modernity) I found to be bleak, cold and lacking in services for passengers. For example at 6:00 am nowhere was open to buy a coffee Google Earth – The hotel can be seen on Street View Reception – staff were professional and welcoming, spoke good English and completed the check in/out formalities quickly Public Areas/Decor – All very well maintained. In reception seating areas and bar Guest Rooms – Mine was exceedingly spacious with separate dining/seating and sleeping areas. The bathroom equally so with large walk in shower and bath tub Decor/Maintenance/Cleanliness – Everything seemed to be immaculately clean Amenities including Entertainment – Telephone, large flat screen TV with French and international Channels, good Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making, microwave, fridge and sockets capable of charging personal devices Lighting – Artificial lighting was very good Heating/Air Conditioning – No issues Noise – no noise disturbance whatsoever Food & Beverage – There is a small bar and breakfast room but no restaurant as such. Due to my travel schedule I did not have the opportunity to have breakfast Value for Money – Not the cheapest option available but for the quality of the accommodation the rate was very fair X Factor – For anyone needing to overnight in Lille before travelling on by rail to the UK or anywhere in Europe the location cannot be bettered and the accommodation itself is spacious and very comfortable

We stayed at Novotel Suites with 2 adults and 2 kids. The room was spacious and light, the windows are soundproof and can be opened. So the room can be aired as often as we like. We visited Lille during the heat wave, and the AC at the hotel worked fine. Compared to other Novotel Suites we've stayed in, this is definitely one of the sober ones. The covid19 measures taken are mostly visible during breakfast. The buffet was limited in choice and minimized shared surfaces. Fresh bread, fruit salad and muesli are individually pre-packed. We do have some remarks on the cleaning in general. Upon arrival, the soap dispensers in the room were visibly dusty on top. The cleaning staff could have done a better job. If you need your room serviced, you need to use the door sign. We stayed in room 203, the water pressure in the shower was dramatically low. The location of the hotel is very convenient if you travel by TGV. It's literally across the street from Lille Europe station. 10 min. walk to downtown, 5 min. walk to Euralille shopping mall.

The hotel is just next to the Lille Europe (not Lille Flandres) train station, so it is much easier for us who arrived late at night in Lille. From station make sure you took the small stair upward and not going to the mall side! The hotel has big and spacious room (much bigger than standard European size). The wifi is reliable and room is clean. Breakfast unfortunately is quite monotone and not having many options. From hotel, it will take around 15-20 mins to walk to the Lille old town. Close to hotel there is also mall which has a lot of restaurant and some shops to buy some groceries as needed. Overall it is a decent place to stay.

We stayed here before over New Year in 2016 so knew what to expect. Nothing much has changed, but this means 3 years of wear and tear on the rooms and it is starting to show. Scuffed walls and furniture, large limescale buildup on the shower, for example. Reception staff were helpful and friendly at all times. The rooms are a very good size and it's always good to find rooms with a sofa as well as a bed so you have somewhere else to sit around. Basic kitchen facilities (tea/coffee, fridge, microwave) are helpful. Beds are not overly comfortable and pretty hard mattresses. Room was cleaned during the day even though it didn't need cleaning, we didn't want it to be cleaned and left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. A waste of resources. Breakfast is very good and inexpensive, so it is worth getting a room with breakfast included if you can. Parking is cheaper elsewhere than under the hotel or right next to it - we found a car park 10 minutes walk away for €18 for 2 nights which could be pre-booked online, at Parking gare de Lille Flandres. Very easy access to both train stations and Westfield Euralille is a matter of minutes walk away.

A good place for a business trip. A spacious room with a bathroom equipped with a bathtub and shower. Coffee maker, fridge and microwave in the room, large TV with chromecast allows connection to a smartphone. Poor breakfast, small selection of products. Good location at the Lille station. Europe.
