Having read the reviews, I made sure we were allocated on the ground floor. On seeing the spiral staircase I was glad we had. If you are elderly, disabled, have children, heavy luggage or just unable to negotiate the narrow twisting staircase - then you need to stay downstairs. I was disappointed that a patio area was offered. This is...

The Princesse Apart'Hôtel is small and feels familiar in spite of not having a reception desk or staff on site. It is situated some 15-20 minutes walk from the very heart of Lille (Gare Lille Flandres, Grand Place) in an old and nicely refurbished house in a quiet area. The apartments are really nice, feels very genuine, and you get...

Great place to stay, close to local amenities and walking distance to the key sites in Lille (on street parking is free and we had no problems parking right outside the apartment). The local restaurants including Le Ch.ti.B, which was excellent (frequented entirely by locals except us) and Le Scoop, which was good, were very close and there is a...

Great trendy apartment in a lovely old house. Bars, places to eat and an artisan bakery all just around the corner. Old town Lille and the city centre are within easy walking distance too so the secure off street parking arrangements are an added bonus. Will definitely return - hopefully in the not too distant future. Booking was made through...

An apartment that we had rather mixed views about. First the positives…. The location is good on a quiet residential street in the old town. There is a regular bus service to the town centre every 12 minutes and another service goes to the train station. There are a number of useful shops very close by including a bakery and...

The location was good, only a short walk from bars, restaurants and shops. The room was clean, attractively decorated, with sink, fridge, kettle and stove provided in a small kitchenette. When we arrived there were croissants waiting for us which were delicious. Unfortunately we didn't get a very good night's sleep on either of the nights we stayed. Every time...

We arrived in Lille on the Friday afternoon. Sonia the host had communicated to us before we travelled to advise what to do on arrival. Very simple check....no need to a reception! :) The apartment is gorgeous and just like the pictures. It is very spacious and a fantastic little kitchen to make a bit of breakfast. It had a...

We arrived here to find it was an apartment complex in a renovated house. Entry to the block is by door code provided by the owner. Entry to the apartment is by another code, so far so good. The owner has emailed to tell us where the secure parking was but the cleaner had forgotten to leave the "bipper" to...

A great location within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, town centre and patisseries. Fantastic shopping in town also. Better than Paris. A great base from which to visit the Western Front and all things concerning WW1. Much better food than Paris. A little hard to navigate the city streets as they are narrow, one way and no rhyme nor reason...

This was the sixth apartment we stayed in on our European trip, and unfortunately the most disappointing. We booked for 6 nights and stayed in the apartment on the third floor which was accessed by a very narrow, rickety spiral staircase. Be aware if you have luggage, as we did, this is very difficult and dangerous to negotiate. There was...
