The hotel is super clean and they serve excellent food in their restaurant. The menu is great and the prices very reasonable. Yes the rooms are basic but they offer everything you need for a short stay. Great service, very friendly host. An excellent choice if you're in the neighbourhood.

A cheap, basic, but very clean hotel close to the Motorway and a 30-minute walk into central Dunkirk. The dinner was excellent and the continental breakfast was included in the special guest rate. Fred and his team were extremely friendly and made us very welcome. Highly recommended for those on a budget trip or those looking for superb cuisine.

The room was so bad, I thought I was in young offenders hostel. It is so noisy and hot. Dinner was nothing to write home about. It is definitely not worth the money we paid. Breakfast was one piece of croissant and half a begatte. Coffee was ok. No wifi in the room. Don't think we will be going back... More

If it were not for the food and the staff the hotel itself would only get about a 2.5 score but the food is stunning. If you book this hotel dont expect much from the rooms they are basic with free Wifi but as a stop over night it will do fine either going in holiday or returning to the... More

Lovely little hotel & restaurant. Rooms are basic but clean & have free wifi. Offer for dinner and breakfast was 22euros per person. The evening meal was superb, great quality and plenty of it. Desert was lovely and could of eaten it again! Location is a little out of the centre of Dunkirk but there are bus stops nearby which... More

Some of the best food I have eaten in a hotel of this quality in our many years of travel, Dinner and breakfast costs just €22 per person - an absolute bargain. This hotel also has the advanyage of ample free parking (except on Thursday evenings and Friday mornings when a market takes over the space) It is close to... More

I telephoned direct to the hotel and made a reservation for May 2016. I used their website form to request written confirmation of the room rate, but received no reply. Two months later I have used the website form again, to cancel due to a change in travel plans. I also found and used their direct email address, lacuisin@orange.fr from... More

My party of 9 stayed here for 2 nights and we ate here both evenings. How can they turn out such well cooked, well presented quality food for the price they do? It's a secret others would do well to learn. Comments from members of our party included " best hamburger I've ever tasted" Dishes to rave about are the... More

This is an ideal hotel. The rooms are simply furnished and scrupulously clean. The restaurant serves very good food with enough choice for all tastes. The puddings are to die for! 22euro deal will cover a main and dessert plus breakfast. The owner speaks English and is very welcoming. Look no further! The hotel is on a corner and Rue... More

Rooms basic but adequate, clean and tidy, and en-suite, certainly fine for stopover to or from ferry. Dinner surprisingly good, breakfast also fine. Unfortunately restaurant not open on Sunday evenings so need to drive into central Dunkirk for a meal. The owner, Fred, is very pleasant and helpful guy who speaks some English. La Cuisin is more a modern version... More
