My wife and I spent our last night in this hotel on our way to Toulouse airport. The Capuchin was recommended to us by some friends who live in France. This charming hotel used to be a former Abbey and still retains a lot of the original features and is decorated to a very high standard. The room we had... More

Recently visited for the second time and both times we were really impressed by the building, standard of the accommodation, facilities and the proximity to the city centre. Having access to the outdoor pool and air conditioning in the rooms in the hot weather was a life saver.

We spent a very comfortable night at this hotel on our recent trip from England to the Canal di Midi. Although the hotel, in an old Abbaye, is in the centre of Montauban it was not easy to find. However, the bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and finished to a very high standard. The dining room was large but the... More

Stayed with my wife for one night en route from Toulouse to the Dordogne. It's easy to get to and the town of Montauban is charming for a short stay with a beautiful central square. The hotel staff are outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel was very quiet when we stayed but that was a plus as we... More

This hotel combines the look of an old historic building overlooking the river with the interior of a modern hotel. The rooms are spacious, very clean and well equipped. We did not use the restaurant. It is situated right next to the historic old town so is an ideal base from which to explore. Probably the best hotel in Montauban?

Nice place, with an old outside look and very modern interior. Very good restaurant and intersting cave with a huge variety of wine. Spa, sauna, bar, everything nice and an excellent place for business convention. But still one of the most uncomfortable bed i have slept on

The hotel is clean, modern whilst respecting the old features and seems to run pretty efficiently. Bedrooms are fine and quiet but mostly forgettable. Breakfast was a good selection with some fresh healthy options. For me the place lacks something - good for business but wouldn't return with family or Mrs Fox

Montauban is a beautiful town. The hotel is all right. We just had a disagreeable experience. We arrived late at night, and we've never encountered a hotel receptionist that's so rude and incompetent. She was clearly unhappy to have us there. She gave us the keys to our room, but said nothing about location of room or lifts, or arrangements... More

We spent one night at this charming hotel on our way to the south of France. The hotel exudes an air of peace and serenity in keeping with its former existence as an Abbey. Furnishings are plain but functional and there is some interesting artwork and furnishings in the public areas. Rooms are comfortable, staff extremely efficient and friendly and... More

Comfortable, clean, modern and spacious rooms in a great venue, interesting old abbey building near centre of attractive town. Perfect, restful and quality place to recharge. An truly excellent meal in Bistro/Restaurant was a very pleasant surprise - one of the best duck dishes ever, according to my companion, now a duck main dish expert. Each course - see review...
