This is a small, inexpensive (two star) French hotel, where the emphasis is on what French people want in a hotel. Its location is perfect - central, just beyond one of the the noisy main drags of Lourdes, but remarkably quiet.
My inexpensive room had an en-suite with a shower that worked properly, a sweet little balcony with table and chairs and a partial view of the mountains behind. One might think it needed a little decorative uplift, but I liked it just as it was.
M. and Mme. le Patron were warm and generous hosts - there were decent towels in the bathroom and enough cafe au lait at breakfast, for example, and the bed was fine. If you're busy, you can make do with the hotel restaurant, but in any case there are plenty of good restaurants right round the corner.
